It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

One of the best movies of the year! Incredible from the beginning to the end.

UNDEFEATABLE is a highly schlock chop socky epic brought to us from the man behind all those godawful '80s ninja films, Godfrey Ho. This time around Mr. Ho is masquerading under the name 'Godfrey Hall' but a quick browse of any scene from the movie will reveal that it is one and the same guy; the clumsy editing, cheesy, over-the-top acting, hilarious fight scenes and thudding music could have come straight from the likes of NINJA TERMINATOR. As a film, UNDEFEATABLE is a mess, often hilarious when trying to be serious, and utterly unfunny when trying to be funny. Saying that, for bad film enjoyability, you can't really get much better. The film has not one, not two, but three starring martial artists leading the cast, with lots of supporting fighters in minor roles. Cynthia Rothrock takes the limelight and seems to be dressed in one extremely tight-fitting costume after another, so no complaints from this particular viewer. Rothrock has never looked better and she's also great in the fight scenes, although the actress appears to have been doubled in a few stunt shots. The male cop in the film is played by John Miller, a bulky weightlifter who flexes his pecs when he's not on a case. Finally, taking the bad acting award is Don Niam as the psychotic serial killer; with his '80s mullet and OTT facial gurning, Niam is a delight to behold and must go down in history as one of the worst performers of all time. The film is pretty unpleasant and there are one too many scenes of women being tortured and killed for my liking; the focus is on rape, naked women being tied up, and sadistic violence. However it's all so cheesy that you can't really take any of it too seriously. I mean, come on, the bad guy keeps people's eyeballs in his fish tank, how can any film with that plot twist expect to be taken seriously? Production values are low and the acting often laughable; on the other hand, the fight scenes are plentiful and, it has to be said, a lot of fun.Rothrock occupies most of the fighting time in her staged brawls between other champion gang fighters. These are good, but not as good as Niam's battles against various unfortunates; in one battle in a car park, he beats up a karate champion and pops both of his eyeballs right across the parking lot, before tossing his body from the first-storey balcony! Gee, nice. Niam's extended battle with Rothrock towards the film's close has a real sense of urgency and imminent death which is hard to achieve. However, the best fight scene is, as usual, the final one, as Niam takes on Miller in a bought to the death, leading to the two cheesiest lines in history. Although the villain's demise is a clear rip-off of the Stallone flick COBRA, it ends the film on a cheesy high and'll have you reaching for the rewind button on your remote. "See ya!"

Flush with the riches of making sixty-thousand ninja themed films during the eighties, Godfrey Ho headed off to the USA to deliver what his fans had been clamouring for: A film with a cohesive narrative. Knowing that the lack of ninja action may have caused rioting throughout the world, Godfrey created a film involving a kickboxing serial killer who likes to take the eyeballs from his victims, taking place in a world where everyone is a kickboxer.Stingray is a Kevin Keegan haired, bug-eyed nutter who indulges in death matches and is already pretty unhinged by the time his wife leaves him (her psychologist advises her to do so, and it's good advice as Stingray rapes his wife over the dinner table before tucking into a steak). Coming home to find a Dear John letter, he flashes back to his childhood, or at least someone's childhood, when his mother left him for some guy. Now he thinks every lady with dark hair and flowery dresses is Anna, and they're all coming home with Stingray! Now Stingray's going about attacking couples, getting into Kung Fu fights, shouting "Anna!" and pulling people's eyeballs out, and one of his victims is the sister of street fighter
oh I've forgotten her name already, so I'll just call her Cynthia. Cynthia's out for revenge, so she's going around kicking in the heads of anyone that knows the 'Eagle Claw Technique'. Also, there's a cop going around hoofing people in the nuts too, so he teams up with Cynthia to find Stingray to give him ten rapid to the jaw.Expect New Jack Swing music and styles, bad acting (especially from Stingray, but he's entertaining as hell), cheesy dialogue, and a Pagga every five minutes or so, and you've got a Godfrey Ho classic on your hands. There's a few stand out fights, a bit of gore and loads of neon lighting. It makes a lot more sense than those ninjas films too.In far, far future when polytheism is reintroduced, I reckon Godfrey Ho will be deified.

i've saw a different version of this movie called BLOODY MARY KILLER which is different in 3 cases than UNDEFEATABLE: 1.the movie starts with Cynthia rothrock using a sword to let us know how good is she at the demonstrations with weapons 2.it is a fight scenes at the beginning involving Cynthia rothrock and robin shou which not appears on undefeatable 3.that scene when john miller was telling Cynthia that he knows who killed her sister and after a few seconds Cynthia laughs and she was asking miller if they can take her car this scene is different on Asian edition was cuted a lil' bit so the laugh and the idea of Cynthia to take her car were cut off.so i think there 3 good improvements to the movie these 3 changes and i think that made the film better.i have BLOODY MARY KILLER from a friend.i think you'll like this version better

This movie evolves around Don niam. Niam plays the character Stingray. Stingray is kickboxer champion who has won all of his fights, but he want's to find someone who can stand up to his strength. So stingray begins a journey around America where he tries to find worthy people to kill. Cynthia rawcock plays his wife Anna. Anna tries to kill stingray but oh no, nobody kills stingray. So he brakes her spine and eats her heart. Stingray becomes furious after killing his wife. He becomes delusional and thinks that every red haired women is his Anna. He eventually kills every women he sees.As usual Don Niam gives us spectacular acting but Cynthias is mediocre at best. The movie is fast paced and it has some really good action scenes. This movie is the best one of the American Kickboxer trilogy. American Kickboxer 2, stingrays revenge.
