redeyethug187 this movie isn't that good it is one of those movies that you could probably wait until it comes on hbo or something not worth buying some people here thought this was the best movie but obviously they don't watch movies or know about any good ones the game can't act and the girl just wasn't good either it was not a movie for theaters it should have gone straight to DVD it wasn't a believable drama or action flick but thats what you would expect but I think they promoted it too much. The ending was one of the worst getting chased by the cops while his friend dies then going in the river and the next he's in Mexico it's a long swim that movie just needs a rewrite or a better director all in all don't waste your money.

bless1 Waist Deep is Tyrese's best movie to date. The movies that he star in seem to always center around South Central Los Angeles. That's good, because that's where he's from. He's from the streets, and this is a street movie and a good one. This movie will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. It forces the viewer to wonder what other measures will Tyrese and Meagon Good take to get his son back. Sort of a black Bonnie & Clyde. Good action! The only major drawback is Lucky, the character played by Larenz Tate. I wanted to see more of O-Dog, a character he played in Menace II Society. It was a great story with a happy ending. Tyrese and Meagon fit together well.

wrlang Waist Deep is another in the never ending black gangster films depicting a group of people the simply don't exist anywhere. O2, the misunderstood ex-con trying to get his life back on track, gets car-jacked while his son is sleeping the back seat of the car. His son winds up in the hands of a gangster that owns the streets, dismembering and killing with impunity. O2 and his posse rob banks and rich people trying to get enough money to buy his son back. Lots of action and blood in a well made film with inadequate dialog. If you like lots of gangster speak and culture, you'll like this film. Otherwise, it's a lot like all the other gangster films out there – pick one.
