Cleveronix A different way of telling a story
Hadrina The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
Married Baby Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?
Cissy Évelyne It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
movieman_kev Phil Varone's story about finding musical (if not financial) success as the drummer for Saigon Kick and his subsequent battles with drug addiction is truly nothing that you haven't heard before with a million different variations of a million different rock stars, but if you were/are a fan of the band than it's still somewhat interesting to watch once. With nothing truly worthy enough to sink your teeth into, I feel comfortable enough to deem this only worthy of a rent if you have nothing better in you netflix que. It comes off as one of the lesser E True Hollywood story-type deal (but with ample profanity and a dash of slutty groupie boobs). The problem is that not one person in the documentary comes off as particularly charismatic or engaging for that matter.Region 1 DVD Extras: Alternative opening sequence; Extended EPK; studio drum session; 'just hold on' session; unedited backstage footage; Drug zone; and a candid interview (the extras all together clock in at an hour and 12 minutes) My Grade: C-
