Plot so thin, it passes unnoticed.

everything you have heard about this movie is true.

Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.

Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

The US military needs guns and ammo, dammit! Where does it all come from? Corrupt arms dealers, of course! Two Jewish guys decide they want a slice of this hot bullet time action, and hilarity ensues as they bungle their way from one deal to the next. It's all going well until they try to fill an order for 68 gazillion bullets, which requires an ill fated trip to the vile, backward hell hole of Albania, where the filthy Albanians have been stockpiling Cold War era 7.62mm ammo for the best part of a century. Suddenly everything goes to shit. Good times!Languages spoken: American, English, Albanian.I rate Small Town Crime at 26.64 on the Haglee Scale, which works out as a hilarious 8/10 on IMDB.

Not getting into technical stuff for this one - that's already been covered elsewhere - just a comment on content and outcomes. Being loosely based on fact it's fitting these characterless characters went to Gaol for their part in a military arms deal gone wrong - couldn't happen to a better pair (wonder if they will learn anything positive?) These foul-mouthed, smart ass 'buddies', care not for most anything in life - other than making bad money and lots of it. Never mind what grief or damage it causes as long as they are rich! These are the pits of this generation - who can't always seem to get why anyone could not care about them. The best thing this movie highlights is the ugly "economy" of war! Overall it's well enough done and keeps you going but you pretty well know where it's going anyway and we've seen plenty of other shows about these types of low life anyway. Scatter brains will 'love' these near soulless bods but thankfully, others will see right through them.

War Dogs is one of the most mixed-reviewed movies of 2016 and I understand that. It's a very heavy theme and the true story involved isn't properly one that should be taken lightly.Milles Teller and Jonah Hill have amazing performances. Teller is really brilliant, he's a great actor, even if his movie's choices sometimes aren't the best (Fantastic Four), but hey ... We're all human. Jonah Hill has what I think it's his best performance yet. He's compelling and he's able to transmit Efraim's personality so well. We never know if he's a good guy with bad intentions or a bad guy with some good qualities in him, and Hill captures that perfectly. Bradley Cooper plays Henry Girard, a supposed terrorist that helps them getting the 300M deal. He's fine, he's just in the movie because he's a good friend of Jonah Hill and Todd Phillips, his character could have been played by literally anyone. He's not in the movie much, but when he is, he's good. The story it's really interesting and captivating, I always wanted to know "what comes next?" and "how are they going to do that to achieve their goal?". I felt captivated and focused for the most part, but the plot doesn't flow really well since the second act drags a lot. The pacing is kind of a roller-coaster between the first and third act and that brings the film down. Also, I feel that the movie is longer than it should be, it has some scenes that don't need to be there. It actually lacks some backstory scenes so I could connect more with the characters but instead, the director chose to tell everything through narration and exposition, which definitely didn't help.War Dogs is still entertaining, for the most part, it has two great performances by Teller and Hill, its story is really interesting and captivating, but it doesn't flow as it should, it's too long and it lacks some character's background.MSB Reviews - If you like my reviews, please follow my blog :)

This was a film I unfortunately missed last year even though I really wanted to watch it and now I have and I really enjoyed this film. The premise of this film sees two 22 year old men get into the world of arms dealing and slowly get over there heads. Miles teller plays the lead in this film and he does a great job in the film, he is easily the most likable character in this film but he also has the best development of anybody in this film to make you care about his predicament. Jonah hill plays his loudmouth best friend and he fit the role pretty perfectly. He was entertaining to watch and there chemistry is really good but when he needs to be unlikeable he does a really good job of selling that. Bradley cooper is in this film in a smaller role as an arms dealer and he was typically really good in his role, even though it isn't a huge role. I also really liked the performance of Teller's characters girlfriend who gave a strong performance to sell there relationship. The story of the film is pretty fascinating as you go on the journey with these guys and learn the arms dealer industry with teller which helps with connecting with the character. All the twists and turns feel appropriate for the situations that these characters are put in due to there profession. The script has some pretty great humour in it, hill and teller have great chemistry when it comes to there humorous dialogue. However, especially towards the third act I feel like the drama could have been more heated and it doesn't really hit the emotion that you need it to. The style of the film shows this industry as a cool lavish lifestyle and it makes you understand why these characters would find this lifestyle such an appeal. However, this film gets a little ridiculous towards the end and it just isn't as interesting as I found the first hour of the film to be. Overall this is a great fun film that should be seen because of just how cool it is.
