It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.

I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

Easily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.

I appreciate the fact that this movie was a true life story filmed on location. It gives you a real sense of what elephants go through in their own habitat and having a story added made it even easier to understand the elephants. I found this very enjoyable and I was drawn into the life of the elephants. I don't think the movie got the proper marketing or the appreciation it deserved. Disney had a great idea with this movie and I would like to see more movies done with other animals in the wild etc... Even our 15 month old child sat through the movie and watched it and she doesn't even enjoy watching television. We will be purchasing this movie. I feel that it is unfair to compare this film with other talking animal movies, for this was real life with commentary added as opposed to a fictional story manipulated by animation.

Being an animal lover, I decided to watch this film but it offers nothing new. The plot has been done countless times before. The storyline is thin. The voices do not match the characters. It's actually as if the voices were added to a documentary. The film really drags and fails to engage which eventually leads the viewer to lose complete interest. Voice actors Bassett, Derryberry and White do a competent job but the rest sound uninterested. Richardson's voice-over was quite annoying. 'Whispers: An Elephant's Tale' is filmed like a documentary (with unimpressive camera-work) and one is better off watching a documentary instead because at least they'll learn something and perhaps even enjoy the realness more.

My youngest grandson has a thing for elephants. He would watch this movie about 3 times a day every day. Then he wore it out and we had to buy another movie on DVD. In the beginning of the movie is a song: Baby of mine he would make me sing it over a million times. This is not the old lady singer but a younger woman. I have looked everywhere for this woman's name. The one that sings baby of mine in the previews. If anyone knows who sings that please let me know? My voice wears out after the 15th time and he loves it. Movie was wonderful, it was a story that kept the attention of a boy age 3 to this day age 6. Few movies that are real have this kind of attention span for young children this one did. It seems very small children that see a live elephant are in total awe of the movie. A rare find for a parent. Wonderful! DJMary

Hi There, I am the Grandmother of eleven beautiful Grandchildren. On Saturday, May 14th, 2005, My Grandchildren, their Mother's, and Myself sat down to watch "Whisper-An Elephants tale." This film is rated "G."We are all wondering if there might be some mistake in the rating of this movie. The children, their Mothers and Myself were very disturbed by the graphic detail of the human and animal behavior in this film. We were under the impression, according to the brief description of the movie on the back of the box, that we were going to watch something similar to Homeward bound. It even stated that. This movie was Not even close in comparison. Of course the many animals were wild instead of dogs and a cat. That would have been understandable, But Please this was a child's movie rated "G." There wasn't a warning of any kind of it's graphic nature. Anyway, a few minutes into this movie and you can see why we are concerned. A half hour further and it rose to disgust. We turned off the movie due to the terribly upset children. Their mother's and myself were in shock and did a double check on the back of the DVD box for the rating once again. My Daughter had the stronger stomach and watched a bit more to see just how bad it got. She was even disgusted at the graphic detail in the animal attacks. Just so you would know this, in case you didn't, we thought we would write to you and request that the rating be changed to "PG" so that other parents and children will be warned before hand and won't be left with those images in their heads like we have. We're not sure if this is the proper channel to follow to make this request or not, but if it isn't would you be so kind as to forward this to the one who can handle it for us. Thank You, so much, for your understanding.
