Livestonth I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible
PiraBit if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.
AshUnow This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
Brooklynn There's a more than satisfactory amount of boom-boom in the movie's trim running time.
rodrig58 It's not at all Comedy, it's just pure Drama. A particular role for Alberto Sordi, a great great actor of Comedy. Beautiful blonde Elga Andersen also has a special role here, different than in other movies. Lino Banfi as the director of the prison and Tano Cimarosa in the role of an obtuse and evil guard are both very good.
Zmajina I saw this excellent film a long time ago, but it's still vivid in my mind. The plot is very simple. Sordi gets busted for something he didn't do. A series of coincidences and unfortunate events pushes him further and further into the murky depths of the state penal system. As the film progresses, dark comedy is getting darker by the minute, as our hero gets stripped of even the basic human dignity. The scary bureaucracy and gritty prison sequences retain just enough realism not to slip into a morbid fairy-tale. If the story was not set in post-war Italy but in a dictatorship, it would come out as perfectly realistic.Sordi, one of the best Italian actors of all time, is perfect as the naive good guy in an extreme predicament. This is paranoid entertainment at its best.
