As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.

A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.

If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

"Wolf Warrior 2" (aka "Zhan lang II") was definitely an action movie with a capital A.But that was also the entire extend of what the movie could manage. The storyline was incredibly flaccid and stereotypical if there ever was one in the action genre. And it didn't really help the movie one bit that the characters were every bit as pointless as the storyline and plot. That just made you have no care about the characters in the movie. My rating of five out of ten stars is based solely on the action and fighting in the movie, as there was absolutely nothing else to have here. This is not one of the most impressive or memorable action movies to come from the Asian cinema, and I can't really claim that having seen most of this movie has inspired me to go to watch the first movie. I gave up about an hour into the ordeal that is "Wolf Warrior 2". I just gave up from utter boredom, and I have no intention of returning to watch the rest of it.Actions movies should at least have something to keep the audience in aside from only action sequences...

Netflix in Australia must be clamouring for an audience with this garbage, would never have watched it otherwise. Bad CGI, bad acting and Frank Grillo is top billing even though he's only slightly in it and even then he just seems like he's there for a paycheck. (The crap an actor will do for $$$$)
As well as China having huge pride in ridding the world of its endangered animals, it's human rights violations including illegal organ harvesting and its ability to convince the world they are peaceful I say no, stick your cheap movie where it belongs.

Oozing with propaganda this movie doesn't warrant a review. Just a poster of old time communism making every man women and child draped in red feel proud inside and hate for the outside. Disgusting

I though that the original "Wolf Warrior", while not terrible, was a somewhat flawed movie. It didn't have as much action as I wanted, and it often looked like it has been made with a somewhat limited budget. Still, the chance to see a pro Chinese fighting forces movie did help to make it offbeat enough to make it worth a look. So I was willing to sit down and watch this sequel, and I'm happy to report that things have improved significantly this time around. There are still flaws here, I admit. A few of the special effects (particularly CGI blood spatter) look cheap, but overall the movie looks slicker and more expensive than the first movie. The Chinese propaganda is laid out pretty thickly at times... though on the other hand, there have been plenty of Hollywood movies that have been equally patriotic about America and American soldiers. Some of the acting is pretty horrible, but you don't go to a movie like this to see great acting. No, you watch a movie like this for the action, and I have to say the action - which comes at a regular clip - is indeed great. With a mix of martial arts and modern fighting methods, the action is always varied, and is often executed in an over the top method that grabs you and never lets go. Action junkies will really love the mayhem that goes on in this movie. If they do decide to make a "Wolf Warrior 3", I will definitely give it a look.
