Match 1: Tommy Dreamer (c) vs Christian vs Jack Swagger vs Finlay vs Mark Henry in a Championship Scramble for the ECW Championship - This was a well done match for the ECW brand's top prize. It was also a finely selected choice for an opener. Christian and Swagger start it out, these two have gotten so well against each other in the ring now. Then Finlay enters and goes for both of them. The first interim champion is Swagger, then followed by Finlay after a Celtic cross. Tommy Dreamer, the champion, then enters as the forth man and takes it to his three challengers, then finally we are joined by Mark Henry. Immediately Henry slams Dreamer and becomes interim champion. Then after a splash on Henry, Swagger once again becomes interim champion. Finally with a minute left Dreamer lands a DDT on Christian to become interim champion. He holds off pins and when the time limit expires Tommy Dreamer is still ECW Champion.Match 2: Chris Jericho (c) vs Rey Mysterio in a Mask vs Title match for the Intercontinental Championshop and Mysterio's Mask - The match was not what you would call predictable. Although one of WWE's top marketing items is Mysterio's mask and it would be stupid to end selling that. So anyway the match is probably the best of the night. It was really just an aerial battle that went back and forth the whole time. In the end Mysterio lands a senton on top of Jericho to reclaim the Intercontinental Championship, and thus retaining his mask.Match 3: The Great Khali vs Dolph Ziggler in a No Count Out, No Disqualification Match - Probably the least anticipated match of the night. Ziggler is being built a lot better on SmackDown than he ever was on Raw. The wrestling was poor and this really could have just been done on an episode of SmackDown instead. Khali dominates, but then we are all surprised by the return of Kane. Kane destroys Khali, then after Kane leaves, Ziggler takes advantage and pins Khali for the win. I see they have big things planned for Ziggler.Match 4: The Colons (c) vs Legacy vs Edge & Chris Jericho for the Unifified Tag Team Championships - For weeks this match really wasn't built to be much. Carlito and Primo are fantastic workers, but DiBiase and Rhodes are really not primed for pay per view in my eyes. Theodore Long, in order to keep his job orders Edge and Jericho from SmackDown to participate in this match as well. The wrestling was pretty average from The Colons and Legacy, then in the end Edge comes in and spears Carlito to win the belts. Honestly it was a good move, because both Edge and Jericho need fresh story lines. So the Tag belts are now held by SmackDown superstars.Match 5: Melina (c) vs Michelle McCool for the Women's Championship - McCool is one of the better women wrestlers that WWE has probably ever had. She started out as another no talent hottie, but she really has become a major player in the diva division. Her most notable accomplishment is being the first Diva's Champion. So basically this is not a bad, but really average title match for the mid card. In the end McCool pins Melina to win the title. McCool is the first diva to hold the Diva's and Women's Championship.Match 6: CM Punk (c) vs Jeff Hardy for the World Heavyweight Championship - Very good title match. Punk is showing all the makings of a heel turn in the process. The match goes pretty much back and forth most of the time. Punk and Hardy continuously do some pretty high risk moves to keep the crowd a little more interested. Jeff lands a Swanton bomb and gets a three count, but Punk's foot is under the rope so the ref declares the match is not over. Punk goes for a GTS, but Hardy hits him in the eye. Punk favors it and tries to play his way out of the match. He "accidentally" kicks the referee and gets himself disqualified. Hardy wins the match, but Punk is still champion. After the match Hardy tries to call Punk's bluff, but when Punk refuses to admit it Hardy takes him back to the ring and beats him up some more.Match 7: John Cena vs The Miz - Honestly The Miz getting into this feud with John Cena is a surprise to me. His former partner John Morrison has got a large push like expected, but Miz was a shock to see pushed. The match is fairly short, with Miz actually dominating Cena. But in the end Cena lifts Miz for an attitude adjustment then follows by making Miz tap to his STF.Match 8: Randy Orton (c) vs Triple H in a Three Stages of Hell for the WWE Championship - The last man standing match on Raw was a lot better than this. The first two stages were really just wastes. The stretcher match should have been the only match they competed in. During the first fall, Triple H gets himself disqualified by using a sledgehammer. Then the second fall only lasts several seconds as Triple H knocks Orton to he floor and pins him quickly. Then the final fall goes the longest with both using the stretcher in various ways. They make it to the stage and then the rest of Legacy come to Orton's aid. DiBiase and Rhodes attack Triple H, but the game battles them off. Then Orton throws Triple H onto the stretcher and rolls him across the line. Orton retains the WWE title in a low budget main event.
