Excellent, Without a doubt!!

There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.

A lazy, good for nothing prince (Thadeous) is forced by his father, the king, to join his brave and noble brother (Fabious) in his quest of saving his true love from the evil wizard Leezar, before the two moons come together. They are faced with numerous difficulties along the way including the betrayal of their loyal warriors. After a brave female warrior joins their group, Thadeous falls in love but the only way to convince her is to is to change his attitude once and for all.We follow throughout the story the evolution of Thadeous, from a useless idiot to a hero that will save his friends as they get into serious trouble. The movie is like a parody of an epic fantasy movie. Almost all of its sequences are full of humor, jokes and funny acting. That is precisely what makes it special. The plot is not something that will impress you in any way but it's good. It keeps you thrilled, entertained all the time and eager to find out the next funny move of the characters. It was interesting and funny. I like the idea of this movie but it could have been better (especially on the funny side). A good movie overall!

This seems a very expensive and concentrated attempt to make a spoof on the Sword and Sorcery Genre. However, it misses out by the sheer inanity and hopelessness of it's puerile jokes that relentlessly drag the film down. If you took all the glib swear jokes out it would make a passable, if regular, quest movie? If you leave them all in, you are continually shaken by their sheer lack of humor and revelry in the lowest common denominator type of schoolboy smut. (Sorry schoolboys everywhere)This was a misses chance as some of the hero's/villains/special effects are truly good. Yet the lead comedian is given the opportunity to stick his boot into all of the scenes, which in the end becomes predictable. (Surely, we can all make crap jokes)Someone somewhere has written on IMDb, in a review/critique, that this film might "give you the opportunity to hear Natalie Portman use the f word". If that, is an example of what the merits of this movie are, then where do we go?

More than any other movie in recent memory "Your Highness" deserves to be judged by the values of the audience for which it was made; people who sat at home drank alcohol and smoked certain drugs and got high while watching the movie. However since I don't do that,"Your Highness" seems so amateur, almost enough to pass as a substandard offering from a struggling local amateur dramatics group. In fact I think they'd do better. This is strictly for stoners who stay at home and watch DVD's. James Franco who has saved worse movies than this, has his work cut out here and not even Natalie Portman can save it.For me Portman remains one of the most talented and beautiful women in movies, and her ladylike sexiness is in rare supply. Any movie becomes promising just by having her name in it's cast. I can only assume she either wanted a bit of fun at work after making Black Swan, or was looking to offset the dramatic (and her Oscar Winning performance) movie with a comedy or two as this and "No Strings Attached" where her post "Black Swan" movies.Danny McBride is such an unpleasant and unappealing character it is simply impossible to root for him. This guy is simply robbing a living as an actor. I have rated it 3/10 1, point a piece fr Portman and Charles Dance and a further point for the enjoyment the audience it's made for, will no doubt get out of it.Unless you are the target audience. Don't watch it, give it a miss. Avoid it like the plague. Tell your friends to pass it by. With the exception of Portman, the acting is bad, bad, bad (Franco included)

YOUR HIGHNESSI know this movie got slated in the cinema, and I can kind of understand why... but it wasn't as bad as everyone made out.The movie is about two Princes. One is very brave and successful, the other lazy and useless. But when the bride of the successful prince gets kidnapped they both have to go on a quest to rescue her.I did laugh through this and it was very funny. The main problem I have with it is none of the jokes were original, we have seen all of these jokes and million times before. The trailer for this film makes the movie look very good, the problem is most of the funny bits are in the trailer.I like the fantasy element in this film the magic, the witches, I think they're very good and it makes the film a lot more fun to watch. The effects were also very good during the moments. The acting was pretty bad throughout the entire film. I think it was acted this way on purpose as it is a comedy and the actors are in this film up generally pretty good in their previous movies. The film stars Danny McBride, Natalie Portman & James Franco. This film was not great it was pretty standard and a typical comedy that we have seen 100 times, but it was entertaining and funny in places.I'll give this film 6 out of 10."if your vagina is anything like my hand there will be no problems"For more reviews please like my Facebook page: Ordinarily person movie reviews.
