S Rao Don't make the mistake of comparing it to the original Zanjeer. That is perhaps the biggest reason this movie didn't do well in the BO (I am assuming it didn't). Think of it as as typical "good cop against corruption" type of a movie and you will enjoy it. And of course you will see numerous "references/similarities" to the original as well themes from other movies. But that's exactly what they are - references and similarities.It is actually a thoroughly enjoyable movie - on it's own. If you liked Dabanng/Singham type of movies.The movie starts with James Bond-esque opening credits and moves onto visions/nightmares of a horse that is sometimes white & sometimes black. Enter the good cop who takes on the powerful politicians in his home town & gets transferred to Mumbai as a "punishment". He gets assigned to investigate a murder but it leads him to something bigger. Unfortunately Ram Charan isn't able to carry on the "angry young man" look. He shouldn't have tried it.Here is what I liked about the movie:1. Sanjay Dutt did well as Sher Khan and thankfully he didn't have pink hair like Pran did in the original. 2. Prakash Raj as the villain. For a change he isn't doing the typical politician villain role. Though I am sure he can perform such roles in his sleep now. 3. Instead of a bracelet of the white horse, here it is a tattoo. 4. New version of "Mona darling" is OK. 5. The movie ends by keeping options open for Zanjeer 2. 6. Closing credits with voice over from the original angry young man. Similarities with other movies:1. Car rolling downhill through a slum - I remember this from a Jackie Chan movie but can't remember the name. 2. Prakash Raj's intro scene will remind you of The Untouchables.In closing, I am curious about 2 things in the movie:1. Why do all NRIs live only in New York? 2. Can someone explain "Yellow Stone" police station in Mumbai?Again, do not watch this movie by comparing to the original.This makes it a lot easier to watch.

voyager13 You cannot help but see this movie with the real Zanjeer playing in your mind. That's because a lot of dialogues are the same or near-about's, and boy what a disappointment, or should I say, disgrace to the real movie. The hero looks very rigid and tries hard to look angry, but he could very well be a side-kicks of hero's from the previous generation of bollywood hero's. Those guys had style, presence, commitment. Then comes the horrible dances and forgettable songs that almost every bollywood movie seems to thrive on. They all seem to copy each other, hence they look all the same. Who can even come near to a Bindu, or a Kalyanji-Anandji bongo music, or do a Pran? Still you would want to give the new movie a chance and see how it fares, but alas, I had to leave it after 30 mins otherwise I would have ended up having a headache.

suchipalem There is nothing in the movie that is worth watching.The story is completely changed when compared to the old zanjeer. The story could have been better or the movie time could have been reduced to make the movie interesting. At some time you feel quite bored.The story could have been better, it is just a masala flick. The movie becomes interesting and then all of a sudden movie slows down. Prakash Raj and Mahie Gill's acting is good and the dialogues of Prakash Raj are good.The acting of Bollywood debutant Ram Charan failed to live up to the expectations.So it is nothing good worth watching and the whole film is just average.Watch the movie only when you have nothing to do.

jaypatel7 Its not worth spending even 2 hours. I don't know, what do people think for making such movies. Priyanka is also disappointing with her choice of movie and performance in the same. And who is that hero, I do not know the name exactly, he is not looking like a hero from any angle. Such kind of movies are spoiling the bollywood's image on people. Bollywood should ban these kind of movie. Even censor board should not allow such crap to release,because its not worth spending a single penny. For a case, if someone give me 1000 rs and ask me to watch, I would voluntarily deny the offer. many critics has given zero rating to this movie, which i think high rating for this movie.
