I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE is another dreadful zombie flick made on an indie budget; it's one of the worst currently out there, although there are plenty of similarly terrible movies. It's a cheapest-of-the-cheap kind of film, in which college goofballs battle the barely-seen living dead. The film was shot in Michigan with the zombies a non-existent menace, and overall the bad scripting and complete predictability render it a bore.

While this is a relatively low budget movie, they do great work! it portrays a great plot, it was just simply outstanding. Who was miller? I am still wondering to myself 8 years later. This movie often comes up in conversation at dinner with my family. Every night we sit and wonder what happened to miller.. is he dead, is he alive, I NEED TO KNOW.The cinematics were great, especially with the scene where the two by four was used to conk the zombie in the head and guts splattered everywhere. Genius. Directing was on point as well. Loved the "Lets Party" scene, got me excited for the rest of the film and the action that was going to occur. Was not disappointed with what followed to say the least. The acting as well as the dialogue was advanced in a sense to it made you think on a deeper level, " what if you were in their shoes" The ending scene left me wanting more. This movie fulfilled my need and itch for a good scare and a good laugh.Overall, a great film to watch with the family, the kids, or the boys.Cant wait for the sequel!

The movie opens with a snuff scene that appears it could have come from Sin City. A man in handcuffs is set upon by a group of zombies, which we later find out were produced by the government, unless you read the comic book. Meanwhile Tom and Mark decide they want to go out for a drink, but like a trip to White Castle they get detoured. There is also Raven, "don't call me Jennifer" who is a punk-goth looking photographer. She joins the group. As fate would have it these 4 end up together. We find out the man in cuffs is some kind of government agent who was supposed to have been killed by the zombie attack. Mark has issues with his former roommate Kevin, who is sleeping with his gf, or ex-gf. Kevin looks like a young Val Kilmer. The movie has some real bad acting, like the bouncer at the bar who has "SECURITY" on his t-shirt. Fortunately the worse actors get eaten early. There seems to be a serious lack of guns for rural Michigan. There is one scene with some comical Dr. Evil diabolical laughter. The zombies are of the slow moving variety with a lousy make-up job.The DVD comes with a PREQUEL comic book. It would help if you read the comic book first. F-bomb, no sex, no nudity (unless you count the comic book which has topless drawings).

I can handle my fair share of "cheese", but this one just sucks on any meter. Terrible acting, terrible script and horrible directing make Zombie Apocalypse one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I really had a problem sitting through this mess of a movie. The zombies were not even scary. I was even rooting for the zombies. I was hoping they would kill everyone else off before the first 15 minutes and the movie would just end. It really seemed like a gang of friends with some camcorders just went to some abandoned buildings out in the woods and just did a weekend take. I rented this at my local video store. It was on the new release section next to Zombieland. I am going to give them a hard time for having this on the new release section.
