Synopsis

These are the true stories of the innocent and the unimaginable. Based on true events, A Haunting dramatises some of the scariest stories, revealing a world in which tragedy, suicide and murder have left psychic impressions so powerful that innocent people become forced to deal with them decades later. Through mesmerizing first-person accounts, the mystery and origin of each haunting is powerfully revealed and leaves a lingering sense that life—and death—are much stronger then anyone could have possibly imagined.

Redwarmin This movie is the proof that the world is becoming a sick and dumb place
Contentar Best movie of this year hands down!
Kidskycom It's funny watching the elements come together in this complicated scam. On one hand, the set-up isn't quite as complex as it seems, but there's an easy sense of fun in every exchange.
filippaberry84 I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
daleja-dale I saw "A Haunting" for the first time back in 2003! It was the "A Haunting in Georgia" polite episode! That episode got me back into paranormal shows! I always been a horror film fan in general! I recently purchased the pilots and seasons 1 thought 4 on DVD! I haven't seen many of the shows made after season 4, but the first 4 season seem to be the best to start with! This series is perhaps my favorite of all time! I like the narration, the music, the acting, the high production quality and of course the shows ghostly and demonic villains! These villains are generally more terrifying than the monsters from Hollywood studios (passed and present)! They are also much more real! Even the Bible says they exist! This series has all the bells and whistles of a horror film! You hear fake thunder, screams, phantom foot steps, creeping doors, evil laughing, etc.! One of the things I like most about many these shows are the Christian (especially Catholic) themes they have and how they show the power of God as the solution to many of those hauntings and possessions! It portraits Christianity in a good light, something that most of today's shows don't do! And, other things I love about this series is that there's NO pornography, you hear no gutter language, and there's little grotesques violence! This is a good old-fashioned type of horror film series, proof that you don't need a lot of blood and gore to make a good horror film! If this show weren't so scary, it would be a family friendly show!
mdawesome I first watched A Haunting when I was 10. It was the first season and I watched it with my Dad. After 2 years of amazing episodes it got canceled :(. I was hoping and hoping for longest time they would bring it back, and right when I lost hope, they brought it back. I have some things I need to point out, the fact that it doesn't air in Canada anymore is a real bummer. I have to either find a place to watch it online or buy the DVD's. I watched online and have bought DVD's (just ordered em today. Despite the horrible acting and cheesy effects in BLOOD VISIONS, i liked that season. Yes, they could have done better, but I am least grateful they brought it back, it's better than nothing you know! I particularly enjoyed The Exorcism of Cindy Sauer, Dark Dreams, and Angels and Demons. Those were by far the best episodes of the 5th season. Each episode has it's share of cheesy effects and some bad acting, but again, none of them come close to BLOOD VISIONS and let's be grateful they brought it back. I can't wait for the confirmed 6th season this fall!
Neil Doyle Before I begin I must mention the irritating commercial breaks that break up whatever mood has been established in this show's best "horror" moments. Far too many commercials on this cable show. The stories all follow the same pattern. Usually the man of the house (sometimes the wife) never believes what is happening and attempts to find a scientific explanation, to no avail. They only seek help when things get really out of hand and they're about to be driven out of the house by unwelcome spirits. But it's fun if you're in the right mood for this sort of thing. The acting is fine, the sets are interesting, and most of the time the atmosphere is good. An episode called LEGEND TRIPPERS made good use of the graveyard scenes. Most interesting so far is one called DEMON CHILD about a boy possessed by a spirit he refers to only as "Man." His worried parents go through quite a lot of trouble with the boy and his imaginary playmate before she gets help.ECHOES OF THE PAST dealt with spirits left behind in an old house who apparently died there as a result of a fire. Again, the atmosphere was perfect and the acting was uniformly good. All of these episodes ended rather predictably.
nmurphy77 Every time I watch this program it irritates me. I cannot see how a person with any sense can handle this. In most of the episodes I have seen either people get involved in Wicca, Druidism, or something else equally harmless and horrible things happen to them or they clearly have a psychological condition which makes them susceptible to hearing voices or the like. Then, as predictably as a parable in Bible Study, they go back to the fold of the church or something and then, magically, everything is OK again. Is this show some form of propaganda or is it just celebrating the most extreme superstitiousness I've ever seen?
