Reviews

Ploydsge just watch it!
Majorthebys Charming and brutal
Plustown A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.
Sienna-Rose Mclaughlin The movie really just wants to entertain people.
waluigiiscool Honestly I am surprised with all these laughable reviews of this show because I thought this show would be rated much higher. Maybe all the reviewers were Idol rejects. But in all honesty, I think that American Idol is one of the best shows television has ever produced. It was a show that everyone could watch and enjoy and cheer and root for. It was fun, any age could join in and it was a phenomenon in its heyday and there was nothing else like it before or since in my short time on this planet. The judges were compelling. The great singers were perfectly great and the terrible singers were appropriately terrible. Ryan Seacrest was always so reliable as a host too.Yeah the show saw better days and it did get "worse" as it went on, but the core essence of the show, finding the next big superstar, was evergreen, and that's why the show is and will always be great, and besides until The Voice and other such shows it produced so many stars like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Adam Lambert, Jennifer Hudson, Clay Aiken, Phillip Phillips, just to name a few.Thank you American Idol. I love you and I always will love you.
Noah White Won't say who it was out of respect for their privacy, but a friend of mine went to audition for this atrocity to television. They didn't even let this person audition. They filmed everything up to the top 20 on the same day and made it look real. When everyone comes for the audition, they actually mean they're going to decide who will actually audition. They will randomly tell people they can go just because they look funny and think it would be hilarious to see on TV, and don't let other people go because they look to ordinary or they don't look TV material. Then they let some of the people they chose sing for 5 seconds, and if that 5 seconds doesn't please them they don't get to audition with the judges and move on. This happened with my friend. This is INSULTING. Many artists would feel privileged to have the opportunity to express their paintbrush for the world to see. This "opportunity" was a broken promise, never intending to be fulfilled in the first place. Not to mention, the show just wasn't interesting.
walshwins Liked up until tonight, don't get the voting for top 24, way too politically correct by "genre" and demographic- hate we didn't get to see full performance, need to spend less time on opinions of judges!!Hollywood is a rock star!!This season is so surface and dull, tired of words by each judge, bottom line they can be heartless, why even have them connect with the contestants? I love Ryan!! He has integrity and true style. I hate the genre theme this year, why even tell background stories on the contestants!
nixau Now that they've whittled down American Idol to its essence: singing, everyone seems to hate it. What was once a mean and snickering collage of bad singers who thought they were good, funny looking people we could laugh at, and stupid Simon Cowell insults is now a study in the development of raw talent. Gone are the snickering insults and mocking, replaced with honest criticism and genuine talent. Everyone talks about living your dream and succeeding, but when people really realize their dream its "stupid" and "a joke" and "ridiculous." When I heard 16 year old Malaya Watson turn the Beatles standard "Long and Winding Road" into a soul ballade tour de force that would have made Whitney jealous, I melted in the presence of true artistry. What is more human than the emotional connection between a singer and her audience? For all those who find that stupid I have a show for you: "Naked and Afraid." I'd rather hear singing.
