Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.

Having visited the Isles of Scilly many times I find the main reason to watch this BBC series is to play "spot the location" and be reminded of what a lovely place it is to visit. The series follows a group of island characters, some appearing for only a few episodes and others who appear year after year. We follow the lives of the new Anglican vicar for a while then when he has settled in the Methodist minister takes centre stage, we also regularly see the German vet, a group of island men who tried to row across the Atlantic and various other people who are either islanders or who have made the island their home.I'm not sure how much it would appeal to people who don't know the islands but I find it an enjoyable way to pass half an hour. For the most part the narrator does a good job although as his comments are added after the events they can be a little too knowing... I'm not sure we need to know that people are going to get a surprise in their lives several days before the events occur.
