It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional

Anthea Turner: Perfect Housewife 2006, this show has only recently been screened here in South Africa on BBC Pime. We have enjoyed watching the show and the useful tips that Anthea gives. But as with most shows there are always one or two things that can be changed, added or tweaked; if one mentions it, maybe it will be read by the right person who thinks it's a good idea and puts it int action. My feeling is that a another housewife show be added too make it three and then instead of having a winner and a looser, you have a winner and the other housewives share the second place so that there's no looser. Another thing I'd love to see is a program where Anthea pays a surprise visit to some of the previous housewives but really make it a surprise no warnings of her coming to see them.

This show is so bad, it is actually good. I am completely rubbish and disorganised when it comes to Housework, and after watching this show, I do have a few pangs of guilt, about my house not being spotless. But life is too short, and I like my house comfortable and homely. Unfortunately, Anthea T. comes across as a complete control freak and utterly obsessive about dirt, clutter and untidiness, I would hate to live in her house, or have her in mine. But saying this, the show is very watchable, because no-one being taught by Andrea on the show, lives-up to her exacting standards, or knows the correct way to do 'householdy things' such as squeezing lemons through muslin, table presentation and folding T-shirts the Japanese way. Watch, learn and laugh... and try not to feel guilty about your own house....
