Synopsis

A fantasy drama set in a world of legendary heroes and mythical creatures. Far from home and desperate for answers, Jason washes up on the shores of an ancient land. A mysterious place; a world of bull leaping, of snake haired goddesses and of palaces so vast it was said they were built by giants - this is the city of Atlantis. Aided by his two new friends, Pythagoras and Hercules, Jason embarks on a voyage of discovery, and salvation, which sees him brush shoulders with Medusa, come face to face with the Minotaur and even do battle with the dead.

Ploydsge just watch it!
SparkMore n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.
Maidexpl Entertaining from beginning to end, it maintains the spirit of the franchise while establishing it's own seal with a fun cast
Catangro After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.
tomdaly-17436 This series is just awful. I'm a fan of classical mythology, and to be honest, I'm glad I dodged that bullet! It's basically like Clash of the Titans, but they shot it on budget and aired it before the watershed! Homer would be turning in his grave right now. If the Greek gods were fans of TV, let's just say Zeus would be priming those trusty lightning bolts of his!
jacshop-03317 What a fun show! Mocking and twisting up mythology, which amuses me. I am not into mythology so I do not feel insulted as some of the purist reviewers seem to be. I so enjoy NOT watching dreary blood and guts, gratuitous explicit sex scenes, vulgar dialogue and car chases. If that means I have the intellect of a 12-year old, then HOORAY. As a senior citizen, the graphic trash depicting evil simply disgusts and bores me.
borowiecsminus Atlantis is certainly not a flawless show. But, if you just sit back and watch just for enjoyment, it is very good. Critics will hate it, people will love it. (SPOILERS AHEAD) You follow Jason on his quest to find his father and mother, and when he does, it isn't pretty. In thefinal episodes of the unfortunately cancelled series, things get very heated as Jason's heart blackens, and his father (MEGA SPOILER) dies trying to save Jason. Yes, in Season 1, it was just Mark Addy making fart jokes and then some drama towards the end. But, in Season 2, it loses almost all of the comedy and really becomes a drama. In fact, in the second half of the second season, it becomes quite touching and speaks on so many different deeply philosophical levels, but the BBC didn't wait to see it and cancelled it before that part came out, and while it came out still, they didn't allow them a third season. I'd even say that it is perhaps the most philosophical part of a show since Breaking Bad, or perhaps Humans. The show really is very fun to watch, even if critics scorn it.
Shopaholic35 This show is actually a lot better than I thought it would be. Each episode is interesting and based on a different ancient Greek mythological legend. I don't really care if it's historically accurate because it's interesting and good entertainment. Besides it's nice to see a different take on each character. Who says Hercules couldn't be a fat lazy drunk. Sometimes a reputation can be born from one lucky moment but that doesn't mean that is who they truly were.So give the show a chance if you enjoy fantasy shows with a historical edge. It may not be realistic but nobody really knows the truth for sure so maybe it could be true. It's also nice to see something that isn't so serious. I'm getting pretty bored with watching shows about terrorists and murderers. You can delve into a new world for an hour and forget about real world tragedies.
