Dreadfully Boring

I saw this movie before reading any reviews, and I thought it was very funny. I was very surprised to see the overwhelmingly negative reviews this film received from critics.

This is a gorgeous movie made by a gorgeous spirit.

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

Bad girls is a prison drama based on the exploits of the female prisoners at lark hall prison south London and is very much worth paying your TV license fee for. It is an hour of revolting, no class behavior that all though very realistic, shocking and at times very upsetting is only ever on the level of obvious insecure bitchiness. Everything is arguable with all the characters permanently walking around with there necks sticking out and although not taken out of context getting away with to much of it. Definitely worthwhile watching if you're interested in life in a British prison but you can't help but feel it's a one Way Street that can't keep you absolutely guessing who will do what next or ever justify it.

I started watching this series at the beginning of the airing of series six. By the end of it, i had seen all the other episodes of all the other series. It is one of the best shows I have ever seen. It is addictive and you do get a genuine feel for the story lines - you cannot watch one episode without forming loads of opinions. People claim its unrealistic, it is not - as assured by the producers, everything in the show is possible in a real prison. Agreed, it may not happen to the same people, as in the series but give the show a break - its a TV series! It has to be exciting and it really really is. It is moving and the story lines are real and in most cases relevant to thew outside world as well, in my opinion. It is serious and can be upsetting but it is also one of the best acted and best written shows I've ever seen! I cannot wait for the next series!

Bad Girls is fantastic viewing with it's compelling story lines. The sensationalism can often be very off putting but the show doesn't claim not to be sensational and the whole show is based on it's well known sensationalism. With the great character of Jim Fenner no longer being there though I worry that the next series might not be as good to watch. I won't be giving up on such a powerful drama yet though, all Bad Girls does is provide a form of escapism and it does it so wonderfully like the other regular "Shed" production - "Footballers Wives". Here's to series 7 and beyond, let's hope they're just as compelling without Jim Fenner in it.

A good story! Unfortunately I have missed the start of the serie. I like the characters Nikki Wade, Helen Stewart, Barbara Hunt, Dominic Mc. Allister, Karen Betts, Denny, Shaz, The Julies, Jim Fenner Shell Dockley ... and many others. They all bring their character in a very convincing way! Congratulations and keep this playing continue! I hope the second serie will be shown on TV in Belgium as well. I can hardly wait for the sequel.
