Wonderful character development!

Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

This show has a really good storyline that is ruined because of poor acting. The way the show is edited and put together is very fake and childish. Mostly all the shows on the Disney Channel, for some reason, are this way, even though they are just like YTV shows in their plots and types of settings. Somehow, most of the actors on Disney channel do a very bad job, including the main actors. In this show, Shelby is an extremely bad choice to partner with the other girl, who is a much better actor. The idea of time travel could have been expanded a lot, but because the editing is so poor, it seems very lame. This is the case with mostly every show on this channel, again, strangely enough. Characters do not have a depth that explains them well. Jokes are also lame.

As long as you don't judge this show by the first 1/2 season, it just may be worthy of your watch list. Don't worry, the awful characters Bret & Chet fade into obscurity (excepting occasional eps. like s02e08). I wouldn't wish any show made by the people who created the first 1/2 season upon my worst enemies. Of course, the very first episode is the origin story, so you may wish to survive it by keeping the fast-forward button at the ready. I'm enjoying this show now in season two; 'good enough to DVR new episodes. And, I suppose it was okay for them to briefly bring Diesel back to temporarily prominence in the Halloween episode. Now, I no longer cringe at horrible attempts at comedy, or roll my eyes in dismay while contemplating changing the channel. If you give the later episodes a try then you just may agree...

Best Friends Whenever starts off with the two best friends, Cyd and Shelby, accidentally got zapped with some kind of taser-machine and find out they have the capability to time-travel to time periods that they choose to. The first episode went to a good start to the series but as it continued, each plot of each episodes were going a bit weak and not very understandable, leading to the point where it unknowingly duplicates some of the jokes from previous Disney Channel TV Series. I would say the series is far better than Stuck in the Middle but it isn't. The characters weren't properly introduced, the jokes were extremely weak that the laughter was used frequently, even when it isn't funny but I will say that the visual effects has greatly improved and seemed realistic compared to other DC TV series. Not a great TV series but not a bad one.

Seriously, a show about a blond and brunette best friends. Is this a joke Disney? The acting is bland, there is nothing special about any of the characters. Don't get me started on the special effects, seriously a white room where they were strapped into....like, can you turn up that lighting anymore???? The jokes on this shows are lame and are no where near funny. And let's talk about the diversity in this show...exactly. None. Whoever let this show go to straight to a series instead of pilot most likely regrets it now considering how horrible this show turned out to be. Seriously Disney, can you do any worse? Oh wait...yeah you can with this show.
