Reviews

Taraparain Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.
Humbersi The first must-see film of the year.
Hadrina The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
Roxie The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
sallyvandyke It totally boggles the mind that this show is still on the air. All I can say is...nepotism much? If Julie wasn't the wife of the head of the network, it would never have stayed on the air this long. I do not find it the least bit enjoyable when all the contestants do is bicker and connive against each other. Watching a bunch of whinny, self-absorbed idiots is not what I consider entertainment!
medusamyth I have been an avid watcher since Season 1. It is all about to change due to Season 19. Paul should have never been given a second chance to return to Big Brother. Not only did he get a second chance but he was also granted immunity for three evictions. Without immunity he would have been evicted. Because of this many good players were evicted.Another big problem I have is that Christmas should of been sent home the minute she got injured. Not only is she a floater but she was unable to play most of the games due to not being medically cleared to play. Letting the Houseguests vote to keep her should not have been an option. Paul and Christmas took away the chance for two new players to have a go at it. Thousands of thousands would of loved this opportunity.I hope Paul wins it all. A lesson will be learned and people will stop watching. Very disappointed.
cmb-68187 People complain about the cast being bullies. People complain about the cast being floaters. People complain about the cast being "followers". That is what this show is ALL ABOUT. It's a social experiment to see how people will act and react in all different types of situations. Being a bully, being bullied, being a follower, being followed, being a floater, playing a mean game, playing a kind game .... it's all part of the game! People take this way too seriously.I think it's fabulous to see how everyone is acting and reacting both inside the house and on the tons of Facebook and twitter pages. The social experiment is as much on Facebook and twitter as it is in the house. Total strangers saying they "love Cody" or "hate Cody" -- really? You don't know him - you know the player of the game. You can love the way he played or love the way he DIDN'T play ... but you can't "love Cody". This show is a perfect example of what life is really like and what people encounter every day - bullying, manipulation, friendship, back- stabbing, mean people, kind people, push-overs, floaters, etc ... it is EXACTLY a portrait of what life is really like.You may not like the way some play, but the fact is they are PLAYING the game.
Polly Puddin I watched this show for ten minutes and lost 20 points off my IQ. While I don't even think the people who like this show (who must be among the world's stupidest) could possible see this as "reality," the truth is that the "actors" appearing here are all arrogant, narcissistic, self-centered, unintelligible morons. Celebrity wannabes (who never will be) without a shred of self respect willing to humiliate and denigrate themselves all because they think they will be he next Kardashian (and what a lofty goal that is). The host Julie Chen (who also happens to be married to the Pres. and CEO of CBS - and the only reason this nitwit is still on the air) does unintentionally bring comic relief by actually thinking this show is relevant in any way. Does she even know that this gig has made her the butt of a lot of jokes? Maybe her next husband should be the Pres. and CEO of HBO so at least she can be the worst part of a more prestigious show. Exhibit some self respect and stop patronizing these gutter level shows.
