Reviews

GamerTab That was an excellent one.
Nessieldwi Very interesting film. Was caught on the premise when seeing the trailer but unsure as to what the outcome would be for the showing. As it turns out, it was a very good film.
Chirphymium It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional
Haven Kaycee It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film
vivianadeva Even if I came across this show by purely accident I became hooked. It is an amazing show. The actors are amazing, and their characters are so so interesting. I love the mystery, the characters and their personalities so different and yet so complementary in the same time. The show has a bit of everything in it: mystery, drama, romance. I truly loved it. Christina Cox is just perfect for this role and Vicky's relation with Henry is fascinating. I love their growing attraction and Vicky's balance regarding this relationship. Every episode leaves us with wanting for more. I just wished there were more than 2 seasons, because I just can't get enough of it.It is really worth watching.
fredastair1 I don't watch lifetime much. I like science fiction, mysteries and most importantly well written and fast moving plots. While that can be some slow parts at times in these stories it is more from the directing than the writing. Overall this is a well done science fiction series. It is not as good as the SciFi series Stargate or Stargate Atlantis but in my book it is better than the HBO series True Blood. I can't believe it but I do like this Lifetime program. The plots are always well conceived science fiction and character development / interaction between the three main characters is excellent. Lifetime isn't listed as a favorite channel on the remote but Blood Ties is a program I do have Tivo'd for a season pass.
youngcub I was surprised to find this show, I hadn't seen any advertising for it at all. I'm a big fan of Tanya Huff the author of the books this series is based on, so naturally I thought I'd give it a chance. The stories are entertaining and the chemistry between Henry(Kyle Schmid) and Vicki (Christina Cox) is amazing, even more amazing is that she also has a great chemistry with Mike (Dylan Neal). I'm not sure who I'm rooting for, but whoever she chooses I'd happily take whoever was left. I can only hope that the powers that be put the time, effort and of course money into keeping this show on the air. So often in the past particularly with a Canadian show they give up. Well lots of groups have been yelling for more Canadian content on Canadian television, so let's give it to them, in the form of Blood Ties.
siege223 I love Blood Ties. I go over to Lifetime.com to watch the 22 episodes almost daily. What I like about the show is that it's fun, quirky, sexy, a little campy, dramatic, and did I mention sexy? I have a crush on all three of the main characters/actors--Vicki, Henry, and Mike. I love the racially-diverse cast. I love the witty dialog. I love how given a low production budget, they were still able to make the show more of a fantasy based show with pretty good special effects. Potential-wise, this show's first 22 episodes are very similar to the first 2 seasons of Buffy, and I would love to see in what direction the show evolves.
