Reviews

Lidia Draper Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
Frances Chung Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
Jerrie It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...
Yazmin Close shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.
ponee-1 I loved the show, Bordertown, when it was on and have always wished I could find it in re-runs on some channel, but never have. Of all the western shows that were ever on it was my favorite, and I started watching western shows a long time ago. For those of you that might be interested there is a great web site where you can read fan-fiction (stories written by fans that stay true to the show and characters) especially the westerns. www.womenwritersblock.net when there go to the authors list and click on the author named Stardust. She/he has written some good Bordertown stories as well as some other stories. Nearly all of the authors are worth reading and you can be sure you won't run out of stories for a long time. Maybe you would want to try your hand at writing fan fiction, too. It's the best thing when you can't watch the re-runs.
amandahardt I was just a little girl when this show was in its prime, but I remember it so clearly! We still have an old, fuzzy tape from when it was shown on "the Family Channel" in the US. That was prime time quality entertainment. My parents would watch it with me and my brother, and they didn't have to worry about language, violence, or sex. The characters were lovable (my brother and I were Marie and Bennet one Halloween). They were full of integrity and you could be assured that in every episode, justice would prevail! The idea of a bordertown was interesting, too. I enjoyed as a little girl gazing at Bennet-- what a cutie! Of course I always wanted to be Marie, the beautiful French Canadian doctor! My Dad loved Crattick and did a mean impression of him! So nostalgic! And the music...ah, the music! It was so good, and I wish I could get a hold of it somewhere! Someone needs to find these old reruns and restore them, and sell them. What a gem! I miss it!
blakeney-1 There's not much I can add to all the great comments here. Bordertown and The Campbells are two of my favorite television memories from the 80's, and I enjoyed them a lot more than half the stuff that's on today. It's impossible to find information on either show on the net, and I'm so glad I stumbled onto this site. Keep your fingers crossed, everyone, and maybe we'll be watching the marshal and the mountie on DVD someday soon.
Lpigman I would love to be able to buy video copies of this series, and if any one out there knows were I can please advise.I think the Marshal was excellent and the other lead characters Clive and Marie were also very good. I felt I was right there in the town with them. I thought the writing was excellent and could not wait for it on the USA Channel, but I only saw the last couple of months episodes, due to only just getting cable in my area.I check the listing often to see if this series is brought back, hoping upon hope that it has been. No luck.I never knew the Canadian country was so beautiful.
