Self-important, over-dramatic, uninspired.

Beautiful, moving film.

It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...

Well I finally gave this show a chance but it just lived up to my expectations.Trying way too hard to be funny, it's mostly toilet humor and "women can be gross and weird too!" just for the sake of it. There are some moments that are well written and gets a little laugh bit overall not worth your time. There are lots better and funnier shows out there.

Ilana Glazer is a true genius, taking nothing away from her partner-in-slime; Abbi Jacobson who is superb in her own rights, Glazer has that X-factor I have not seen in a comic-actor in decades, even more than Fey, McCarthy, Shannon,Wiig, or even Radner. Broad City, a mature comedy that does develop a topic every episode ( with splinter skits), is refreshingly original, edgy, risky, modern, and always hilarious. Very well written, great guest stars, unusual predicaments, and well paced/edited/directed. Very infectious : always leaving me wanting more and eager to see the next show. I hope this has legs and runs for a while, definitely one of those series Im going to get on blu-ray when its over.

what IQ do the people who rated this so high have? How can anyone find this infantile humor amusing? The girls are more annoying than they are funny. And the long dragged out scripts with no punch line comedy makes this a huge fail in my opinion. I'm guessing you need to be high for some type of enjoyment.Nope, that didn't help either.

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this show. From the outset it seems like a very traditional sitcom set-up; two women living in a big city, in their 20s, stuck in limbo struggling to 'do what adults do' (see '2 Broke Girls'). But this is so much more charming and funny than the usual sitcoms churned out by the dozen in America... perhaps because the web-series it was inspired by was an indie project from the outset, and relied on the chemistry of everybody involved. There's plenty of awkwardness, but the cringe-worthy situations are offset by the friendship-cum-platonic-marriage Ilana and Abbi have. Every episode is hilarious, and set to some pretty cool music, too. And they've had the series renewed for another couple of seasons! I only hope they can maintain the high standard set in the first couple. Definitely watch this if you like your comedy small-scale, indie and with a healthy dose of weird.
