Ella-May O'Brien Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
Scarlet The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
laidlawr112 Buckwild is an awesome TV show!It looks like so much fun, I wish my childhood was like that - mudding, water slides, wrestling, shooting, quad biking etc...I think we can all learn an important lesson from them; that life is short and so we should enjoy every moment we get by being silly and having fun. Everyone needs to lighten up, if anything the show has made me want to move to West Virginia and join in!!!OK some of the things they do are a bit dangerous, but they aren't hurting anyone. They aren't tied down to the serious and predictable routine of society and I love that! Who says everyone has to follow the same boring old path in life?? AND who's says you have to grow up??? They take responsibility for themselves and their homes, whatever else they do is up to them. Also they aren't technology zombies, glued to their iPhone or Xbox, but are out in nature being active and loving life :)Overall - an awesome show! Can't wait for season 2!!!!
dee.reid ...And now here comes "Buckwild." I honestly have no idea how MTV decides what is and what isn't "entertainment" these days. "Jersey Shore," which I feel guilty for having been a viewer of, met its demise in being canceled last year, and to fill its shoes with equal stupidity and cultural stereotypes is "Buckwild." "Buckwild" attempts to be something a little bit different by combining "Jersey Shore"-style debauchery with "Jackass." The show follows nine 20-somethings in West Virginia and their definition of having fun in the backwoods of WV. Needless to say, "Buckwild" doesn't do much to help the image of West Virginia backwoodsmen and backwoods-women (West Virginia state Senator Joe Manchin publicly denounced the show and went on live television trying to tell people that this is not how his state really is) and is equal parts debauchery and crazy stunts. But like "Jerse Shore," all "Buckwild" is = mindless entertainment. I don't know how MTV found out about these kids, but you'll find yourself sucked into the stupidity and even liking it.Without a doubt, "Buckwild" is MTV's new hit reality TV series to fill the gap left by "Jersey Shore" late last year.6/10
medicamoore This is the most ridiculous, staged bunch of garbage that has been shown on television. The have scripted reality television trying to draw in the audience on the "Wild, Wonderful Whites" premise. It is sad to see this actually representing West Virginia. This state already has a horrible reputation for back woods, inbred, hillbilly stupidity without having this put a severely inaccurate picture on it. The fact that they paid people to appear in this show to "represent" locals is appalling. These kids that are starring in it are hoping for a spring board to reality fame such as happened with Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, the whole of the teen mom group. What amuses myself and my coworkers most is that everything is in Sissonville. I am not sure when Quaker Steak and Lube moved from Southridge in Charleston off of 119 to Sissonville, but I am sure it was the same time the Town and Country Lanes in Nitro also miraculously uprooted and went there as well.If you want to enjoy the show for the sheer entertainment value about the degradation of society and see the future generations that will lead this country by all means enjoy. But please, do not think these idiots represent the majority of hard working West Virginians.
Caleb Williams The first trailer I saw for this show made me want to see it, because I the show looked like a show filled with trashy southerners (Im from the south myself) and I thought this is going to be another strike out on reality t.v for MTV. And boy was I right. The show starts with two girls meeting another girl for the first time and when I saw it I was just thinking maybe this show is not as bad as I thought. But as the show later progressed, it became gradually worse. Theirs one guy on the show who's accent is so deep they have to use subtitles and through out the show they do nothing but "mudding" and they swim in what looks to be a dirty pond or cesspool. Then one of the cast members states that he became ill, twice, swimming in that cesspool or whatever. Then in the "girls house" the girl who owns the house says that the cops have been coming here a lot because are neighbors are always complaining to them and that they only had one more violation until they got in real trouble. Then Shae says she is not scared of the police and says they should throw a party (to make neighbors mad)and they did. The lady who is the neighbor looks as if she only came their to be on t.v, and caused this big commotion over nothing. Then she later calls the cops, after technically assaulting the girl. They then evict her and I after that I turned it back onto the Fiesta Bowl (Oregon vs Kansas State). That is episode one and they were showing two episodes back to back.I wasn't disappointed in the show at all, from the concept and the trailer I could tell that it was going to be terrible. Its suppose to have some type of drama I think even though they say on the cast meeting video that the girls on the show did not do drama. And from the trailer it looks like redneck Jackass with girls. This show does not know what it is and is terrible, if you like its safe to say you do not have good taste in T.v. This is another reality strike out with MTV. I could tell it would be right from the trailer.
