The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

Bunheads, a very appropriate title as it does focus on a group of 4 ballerinas and their teachers. What really grabbed me from the start was the fact that it followed in the Gilmore Girls show path, in more way than one. Many lovable characters were brought in from that show but what I truly loved was that this was another quick wit, keep you on your toes dialogue. Michelle, who enters town as a stranger, becomes the center of the show quickly and keeps you on your toes (pun not intended) with her quick wit, humor yet also keeps your interest when she's in a "down" mood. That doesn't happen often. Her mother in law, played by Kelly Bishop, is eccentric yet also down to earth. A relationship that starts very rocky turns around slowly. I like that they did it in real life mode, not made them love each other within 3 shows. I found all of the characters endearing and was as hooked on it as quickly as I was to Gilmore Girls. The 4 main ballerinas, whom are high school students, are endearing. They face life's true problems just like any other high school girl. I highly suggest you watch this if you haven't yet. *if you haven't seen this show, DON'T READ THIS!* I'm still left wondering why they cut this show short. Everyone that I talked to who watched this show, loved it! I really was hoping they'd reconsider and bring it back but it's been obvious to me for a while now that isn't going to happen. It's hard to find shoes like these and was really disappointed when I learned there would be no more Bunheads. It was a great show for my daughter and I to watch together, she's now 21. It wasn't just for the high school crowd. Bummer!

Okay, they've taken everything annoying about Gilmore Girls and repackaged it. There's the annoying fast-talking babble that goes nowhere. There's the mindless (and wordless) ditty- humming in the background (la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la, SHUT UP ALREADY). The music track is the same; in fact it sounds like they took the original track from GG and just pasted it in. They've got a Lorelei Gilmore (aka Michelle Simms - and the actress looks as much as she possibly could look like Lauren Graham without actually being Lauren Graham). There've got an Emily Gilmore (aka Fanny Flowers. She actually WAS Emily Gilmore). They've even got a composite Rory (aka the Ballet Girls). A lot of the peripheral characters match up to characters in GG, too. At first I thought the guy who ran the bar in town was going to be 'Luke', but then his hippie wife came out from the kitchen and I recognized Luke's sister and brother in law. I guess you CAN go home again. At least they can. At least they think they can. What do you all think? Is this rehash working? Or should we all just go watch the original again?

The expression "wow" pretty much represents the twirl of emotions i feel when i watch Bunheads.Wow, why fake the reviews on a TV show. It's not like you have to bring people to the theatres, newsflash, if people watch something on TV and it sucks, they got a thing called remote control, one button and voilà', they're watching something else.Wow, that Bailey Buntain is smokin' hot; check out her hot bod. Big shoulders and blond hair, i could watch this show just to see her. Wow, this show is slipping rapidly. Nice pilot (i believe someone else wrote this on their review .. and i agree), but after a rapid plot twist, we're left with a girls-only show where "who wears what dress to the party" becomes enough plot material to make an episode.This show is supposed to have some great supporting characters but someone forgot that supporting characters are supposed to be an addition to the main plot line, and as it seems now the main, Stacey Oristano (Truly "Awful" Stone) quickly did a sidestep out of centre stage, and is now just standing still while other characters pivot around her doing her stuff.The Mother is essentially the main character (if we go by number of lines which, in cinema AND theatre, is generally a good indication of who is really the main character) yet it was written to be the pseudo- evil bitch who might/might not turn into a heart of gold. Ofc all we get is "whine whine whine" "i'm old and i'm a mum and i used to dance".The little girls are just not impressive as actresses; yeah OK, so it's decent for daytime TV (meaning "that which is on, but you don't *actually* have to watch it"), more or less the same acting level of Buffy or Twilight, but this show cannot in any way compare to the new shows such as Girls, Whitney (and other W.Cummings shows), Suits, etc ..I can't really watch a hour long show just to take three 10-seconds peeks at Bailey Buntain's sweet derrière; if you are like me, you would do well to avoid this and not waste your time waiting for something cool to happen.Honestly i'm not even sure what this is. Comedy? Drama? i don't know.vote reserved for now, but not really more than a boring 5/10
