scottwallvashon This movie has everything you could ask for: pro environmentalist propaganda; anti religious cynicism; meaningless violence; defacement of patriotic symbols; erratic camera work that gave me a headache; every moment is a high point; countless has-been actors in cameo roles.I think this is another example of a completely synthetic production. They added up years of data taken from observing successful action films of the past and just sort of threw it all together. The nice thing is that it doesn't matter where you come into the movie or where you exit. It is so homogeneous that any portion is an action film unto itself.I realized after a while that it would make a good music video. When I turned off the sound and tuned the radio to a modern rock station, it actually worked. The commercials kind of messed that up. It would have been good to TiVo it and cut them out. Oh well, next time.

yoongkoh I've seen this movie last night and I find it completely waste of time. The story flow is bad. The common sense is bad (e.g. the twister pull most of the building including cars up to the sky easily but as to the human... it take it takes a long long time). And to make it worst, why the hell do the terrorist want to kidnapped those people in a very dangerous situation like this??? Even if they succeeded, maybe all their others relatives might be dead by now (hello..we are talking about category 7 here) so.. who will save them poor people? The government? well, we all can see that the government themselves are in big trouble.AND the worst part is the ending! All it says is "We are talking about category 7" and the movie ends. This is just totally wrong!

strange_yet_satisfying For some of you people who judge movies harsh, you need to go watch child: 666. I think that your rating would be great for that film or........home movie. That is honestly the only movie that deserves 1 star. You people need to lighten up. You guys poke at movies like crazy. This movie had 15 Million viewers. Not to bad. With quit amazing FX for a 15 million Dollar Budget. The destruction of Paris is an unforgettable disaster scene for all you disaster movie fans. Although some of the characters are a little far-fetched, this movie is an A C T I O N Film. They didn't spend Millions on a script. This movie gives you more and more. You cant watch a movie Called-Category 7: The End of the World and expect a Drama/Romance with a story to be loved. All I'm saying is ease up. Give this awesome movie a chance. You wont regret it. Its up for An emmy also. Its gotta be good. Give it Props.

rogerbleep For years movie studios have pushed out variations of blockbuster movies, For example, "Twister" hit the big screen and "Night of the Twisters" hit the family channel and "Tornado" hit (can't remember which channel) but I have to say that BOTH the cheaper produced movies far outweighed the so called block buster that was twister.As seen with the 3 war of the worlds movies released in the same year as each other, I feel the asylum productions release was a far better variation than the Spielberg release. It's the same as "Asteroids" far outweighed "Armageddon" and "deep impact" as well.It seams cheaper cast and cheaper budget provides for more "story" rather than fx, Which is generally a good start, less cgi and more plot, gets the point across, You can sell a movie with a few pretty faces and pack it with fx But it'll always lack a good plot.Category 7, was as good as Category 6 And their BOTH a Wake up call for are small insignificant little world Which where destroying slowly but surly. Well worth a watch, if you wish to see how the world's weather will evolve… Which it already is : /Looking at previous comments I can but wonder about the future of our fair planet, I'm far from a Greenpeace or recycling fanatic But I can see how the worlds changing (very fast to) It's a shame others are blind to the environmental changes around us, From "The day After Tomorrow" and "Category 7" And everything on the current weather & news channels I can but wonder if the world is just blind or has gone insane.People don't worry about floods nor what comes with it, Australia is feared for spiders, but as the world heats up…. They'll survive in your country, meaning boxes of fruit clearing customs will have a surprise inside (that's still alive due to the climate) and when the floods & heat come, piranha can swim pretty far, and will be able to live in such a climate, as for sharks : / lol when the ice caps melt (which they are) you'd be surprised what they'll bring. If these types of movies are not a wake up call, I don't no what is : /This movie isn't great but it does show you something, And it clearly makes its point, those who don't see it, need a wake up call....
