Reviews

StunnaKrypto Self-important, over-dramatic, uninspired.
Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
Loui Blair It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.
Jemima It's a movie as timely as it is provocative and amazingly, for much of its running time, it is weirdly funny.
Kingslaay Comedians in Cars is fantastic segments where the likeable Jerry Seinfeld takes his celebrity friends out for a cup of coffee. It's great to see celebrities we all know in familiar settings, being themselves and having an informal coffee. This unique concept is bigger than you think because before this you have the standard talk show interviews or interviews with an anchor or network. Now you have a more relatable and humorous setting with Celebs.
sanecatlady I Love the unscripted, honest aspect of the show. I just read a few bad reviews from The Washington Post and realize that whoever hires those writers suck and make crap up,based on their sad, pathetic lives. For example, and this is not an exact quote, but they said Seinfeld is" out of touch with real people and the expensive cars on the show are an example of how out of touch he is with real people, displaying the gap between the wealthy and non wealthy". Really??? I am far from wealthy and gee, I never noticed that, because it doesn't exist on this show. I LOVE the show. Who cares if they have more $ and can afford the nice cars..(Seinfeld doesn't own them...just props for his show), but even if he did, so what? He worked exceedingly hard as do the celebs on his show and deserve those cars, Washington Post. I have and always will be a Jerry Seinfeld fan. I will watch this show as long as it is on and hope for it's continued success. It's real, shows the genuiness of Jerry and other fave actors and celebrities and is a terrific show.I would add, however, that I think it would be just as fun to do a "Comedians in Cars Getting a Beer"!! Terrific show!!
cohenmitch Some comedians are just funnier to be around than others. I mildly enjoyed season 10. I still enjoyed seeing Jerry Seinfeld, and I loved the cars. After 10 seasons I think I knew what Jerry was going to say about the art of comedy and how much he admired comedians who really work on their craft. I do think there were many misses in the latest season. Thinking back over all of the seasons, I thought the Michael Richards episode was the most hilarious and it was very sad and emotional at the same time. I love the episodes with the old timers from early seasons like Don Rickles. Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner watching Jeopardy and eating corn beef sandwiches was amazing. And in this 10th season, I thought the Jerry Lewis episode was moving and very sad since he passed away before the season was released. There were lots of misses though in season 10. Some of the comedians just didn't seem that interesting to me. Sometimes though I think it would have helped for the episodes to go on longer! I thought they just started to loosen up and then the 20 minutes was over. There were a few exceptions. I thought Alec Baldwin was great. Dana Carvey was fun to watch. I loved seeing Ellen, but I was a little disappointed with her episode.
piercejeans And THAT is what makes Jerry Seinfeld so amazing. His comedy and TV shows are examples of the genius of simplicity... and what makes Comedians in Cars one of the VERY few shows that I watch regularly, including network and cable productions. He knows exactly what questions to ask the high and mighty of comedy to get inside of their heads, connect you with them emotionally, and remove the interview away from the boring stage with curtains and a side kick friend. No late night cookie cutter here... he is on to something brand new that should endure for a good while. The car metaphor for the comedian is also done with the laser like sharp mind of a comic genius. Though he pulls back from accolades and praise, he understands how delicate the mind of a creative genius. Perhaps its because I am a creative person, or that I was born in his month and year, or that I too love cars to the obsession. He is living my dream. His vast car collection is renowned, and there are clearly three stars around which this series rotates... the cars, the stars, and the meals. The cars are the essence of the examples of the marques, the comedians and Jerry are the best of the best, and the food borders on the OCD of perfectionism. Enjoy... with a cup of your favorite coffee.
