ManiakJiggy This is How Movies Should Be Made
Ogosmith Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
Guillelmina The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
Staci Frederick Blistering performances.
Harry Harison Previously we had a propaganda push that every suspicious person should be arrested, and for a good measure waterboarded. In this show they stooped even below that - every suspicious person should be shot on sight. Nazis would be proud!Oh, and main character should hook up with every girl, because thats what "the real men should do", right? First episode was enough and I'm out.
s3276169 Condor is an excellent series but I say that with one chief qualification. Depicting an organisation as deplorable as the CIA, as redeemable, is more than a little laughable. Casting aside this rather deep plot hole, this is in most other respects a quality series. Its well crafted, with intelligent, creative, story telling, decent narrative and good pacing. It does not shy away from killing off important characters either, which actually made it more intriguing. You have no idea who is next or indeed if the key protagonist, Joe, would survive the first season. This really ratchets up the tension lending the tale an air of realism and credibility.Certainly one to watch if you enjoy espionage thrillers. 8/10 from me.
flacoworldwide Fantastic show! Suspenseful, thought out, shocking.
sirwanker Let's get this out of the way: I have not seen Three Days of the Condor or read the novel, Six Days of The Condor, so there is no reference baseline for the review. For the most part, the series is an intelligent, well written timewaster with decent performances from Brendan Fraser and William Hurt. As a bonus, I got a kick with identifying various Toronto locations that filled in as Washington DC.
