Let's be realistic.

One of those movie experiences that is so good it makes you realize you've been grading everything else on a curve.

True to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.

I love Corrie I watch it every Monday, Wednesday and Friday I have been watching Corrie for a few years now I love all the twists in it. The best ones in it are so far the Peter/Toyah affair, Steve publicly announcing himself as Oliver's father in The Bistro, Andy down in the cellar for seven months and Phelan killing Luke. I cannot wait until Phelan gets his comeuppance and Eileen FINALLY seeing him for who he is she's genuinely a nice person but is such a stubborn fool for not listening to Anna and everyone else who tried warning her about him but thankfully it won't be going on much longer. I actually met 4 Coronation Street stars in January 2017. I met Luke, Andy, Gary and Bethany. I found Bethany's storylines very interesting especially the bullying storyline but more so the Nathan storyline I think it's good raise awareness because there are really nasty people out there they act all nice at first but then they just [mess] with you I'm not saying don't get involved with people but just be careful who you get involved because we don't know what tricks they could up their sleeve. I used to have the hots for Tracy Barlow a friend of my mothers got me a t shirt with Tracy Barlow on it. There are a few good looking women in Coronation Street I have to admit. I reckon Peter and Carla will give it another go one day this year maybe after Peter finds out the truth about their baby. I think they will reunite anyway if Ken and Deirdre, Kevin and Sally did then they could too although maybe Carla is too sensible to get back with Peter because she knows what he's like now. Now Peter isn't a bad person he's just a tool especially when it comes to women he'll always drop his current woman like a hot snot to be with his bit on the side it's always the same old carry on. I'm not so sure if Gary and Sarah will last either I know they gave their relationship another go but Sarah mightn't and most likely won't be able to cope with Gary's baby just across the street even if they do decide to get married I think she will jet him at the altar I'm not saying that to be negative but some people do forgive their partners after committing adultery but they can only live with it for so long before they actually break up permanently I think it would have been the same for Kevin and Anna if they were still together so I actually think Kevin did the right thing by ending things with her. I just hope Robert and Michelle last they're a solid couple they have supported one other when needed most and for that reason I think they should stick together . There has been a few lies here and there but they're genuinely strong.

I started watching Coronation Street years ago because of the writing and the acting. I rated it anywhere between 7 and 9 back then, but no more. The writing is haphazard, as if the writers have waited until the last minute and just have to throw something up there. As a viewer I find it insulting and I'm not alone, as evidenced by Corrie's social media page. The main offense is Corrie's absolute refusal to get rid of a third class villain, who for years has gotten away with multiple counts of sexual assault, fraud, kidnapping, thievery and murder in incidents that would have resulted in solid arrests by the Keystone Cops. Not only is he playing Corrie, he's playing its viewers. That's unforgivable. I stopped watching with the hope that Corrie would see sense and get rid of Pat Phelan, but he doesn't appear to be going anywhere soon. At this point I am so disgusted I don't know that I'd ever want to return. Corrie's viewers deserve better.

This show has gone steeply downhill the past few years. What was once a classic British soap is now an utter joke. The producer's idea of 'sensationalising' each story just doesn't work. A show which was once realistic is now unrealistic. A show which once provided perfect comedy now tries to hard. The show has no element of drama to it anymore, it doesn't feel like a soap, but instead more like a joke which isn't funny.Watching paint dry is more interesting than watching this tripe as paint drying actually does something. The coach crash which aired in January 2015 was appalling to watch It didn't peak my interest at all. The ratings on the show have dropped significantly too, which has given rival soap EastEnders a chance to become number one soap again.

I like Coronation street I have watched it since I was five back in 1979 and really like it, and its been going nearly 50 years its a shame they never get best soap anymore.. as its the longest running soap, and they seem to get knocked out of the running in the national TV awards, its about time they changed that as eastenders who have not been going near as long seem to win every time.. so it would be nice for coronation street to be best, soap or longest running to win for a change..the soap has had good story lines in the past and present and they put some humour into it as well not like some other soaps I could mention, and do not keep brining back more and more old characters as well..
