Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.

It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...

Into consequential chaos. So are the two parallel worlds be cut by an unpredictable transversal consequence. A great first season of this fascinating drama series. I noticed that the scripts were created by a female screenplay writer, that's why some of the dialog about love, loyalty, betrayal, stubbornness, helplessness are extremely philosophic and profound. J. K. Cummings is like a aging wine, playing the doubles absolutely seamlessly. But I often thought he looked like an old hippo traversed between two worlds. The only weird thing about this drama is that they chose Germany as the center of two parallel worlds. Kind funny when you heard those main characters either speaking with British accent or American English, while all the others around them speaking in German. But no matter what, pushing America aside and moving the center of the world into Europe was a very smart and interesting choice. I'm looking forward to seeing the 2nd season of this great series.

The problem with knowing too much about Physics is you sit watching this show knowing the theory of the science behind the premise of the show, but not the actual mechanics of how it was done. And How It Was Done is now something we will find out until next Season, if ever, depending on what the Producer decides to do. So I sit there, watch, look at the sets and can only hypothesize about it, IMPATIENTLY. LOL

Counterpart beautifully balances the notion of alternate realities and alternate lives whilst blending in a tale of political espionage. Certainly the framework this tale is built upon is nothing new but it works well because of the quality of storytelling, narrative, acting and directing. This is a thinking persons sci fi. Its intricate, it wants to examine what makes people tick, it wants to know how subtle turns of fate in seemingly comparable societies development can lead to markedly different attitudes and outcomes. its refreshing to see a series of this quality that sensibly uses a mix of European and US actors. A great watch. 8/10 from me.

I am enjoying this series but I have one major issue:-
If the parallel dimension was created by an experiment gone wrong then that suggests that all of the "others" were created at that time.
This leaves a large question mark over how younger "others" came into existence in the 30 years following the event.
