There are women in the film, but none has anything you could call a personality.

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

The joyful confection is coated in a sparkly gloss, bright enough to gleam from the darkest, most cynical corners.

For some Cowboy Bebop is the ULTIMATE anime that there possibly can be. And I dare say I'm amongst those fans. Very few animes can measure up to the devoted fan base this show has garnered over the years, and the few other franchises like Fullmetal Alchemist and Death Note can claim to have half the following Cowboy Bebop has attained since its debut in 1998. The series is a neo-noir space-western that takes the best elements of things like Batman: The Animated Series' strong emphasis on shadows and Lupin III's wittiness and flirtatious nature covering up a complicated, smart and relatable protagonist in the form of anime heart-throb Spike Spiegel.Cowboy Bebop is a fun, violent, funny and artistically expressive television series that shows the unique and gorgeous flavour Japan gives the world in television and film. I think there's nothing to hate about this show: it's an anime that's inspired by two of the best genres in film: the Western and Film Noir. If you haven't seen any of the series yet, go ahead and dive right in for some very appealing, open-ended storytelling that doesn't need any pre-ordained cultural requirements. It's like Star Wars: anyone can appreciate regardless of their sovereignty or tongue.Go ahead and give this badass masterpiece of television a watch and see how it stacks up to the wider pantheon of television culture.

First, let me point out, the last anime I watched was Bleach and I regretted it. Extremely long, very predictable and just boring. It also was a very basic shouen jump show, so all the cleche's are in their. After that show, I watched Cowboy Bebop and have to admit is a much better show than Bleach. I will admit that most of the episodes seem like filler and the main plot arc is around 9 episodes. But the show is quite good. Not the best, but good. I think what make me appreciate the show was the ending. Overall, good show. Not the best, but decent.

Each episode viewed on its own is a masterpiece; with amazing quirky stories, well crafted characters, and excellent music and visuals. However, the ending was anti climactic, over dramatic and didn't fit with the pace of the rest of the show. I really wish we would have learned more about Spikes past, then the epic ending which him facing it would have been justified. I really felt as if Spike himself, and his lover, died for nothing. Leaving his friends behind and ignored. As corny as it would have been, the characters were so perfect, I really was expecting them too all come together in one last hurrah each using their specific skills to help Spike. Then they all would have learned the meaning of family, and realized the home they were searching for was not in their past, but in a feature together. But instead of that we got some odd new half baked idea that the world is a dream and you have to die to live. But even that seemed to not play out. Really seemed like they threw away the great characters, world, and intrigue of Spikes past, for a moody, angsty, dramatic ending.

It has been almost two decades after this historic anime series came in to our lives and it was revolutionary. Anything from the style, the setting even the animation which allow to the anime television series become more smooth, quick and nice to look at. So the story, we follow two bounty-hunters Spike Spiegel and Jet Black as they try to get some payment and through their misadventures they make new friends, enemies and something in between. What I love of this universe is who close is to our reality taking place in our solar system unlike many sci-fi series, but at the same time due to passing so many decades, the society to Earth, Mars, Venus and in general the rest of our solar system, area to area has different ideals and workings. Also the adventures are wildly varied from episode to episode show if you haven't watch the series, every case is as new to our heroes as to you. And was nice not been, just bounty hunters hunting criminals. As for the criminals here to we get a huge variety from motives, tactics and levels of intelligence! And the series the show never fears to become funny, the jokes are flawless and then scary, creepy, tragic and it feels natural it isn't forced out. Also some times you get a mixture of these situation, yet again ,they hit their point! No wonder why it isn't so popular! All in all if you like anything from Western,Martial Arts films, Science fiction, Crime and Action go watch Cowboy Bebop ,you won;t regretted.
