if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.

While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.

A group of public school aged kids are taken to a strange boarding school where the faculty at Creepschool consist of an immortal principal and multi-legged creatures as lab assistants. Half hour animated series which reminds me a lot of an 80s anthology horror series called "Friday The 13th" produced by Paramount TV. Here at CREEPSCHOOL the students encounter unusual objects, not necessarily cursed, but gives them special advantages or makes schooling "fun", including a stopwatch which gives one of the lazy students an extra hour of snoozing time so that he's not late for class. Another one is clay material which forms into a duplicate of the builder in science class. And a special Halloween event which brings more than just trick or treats. And yes ... there's an episode about Friday The 13th. One season series shown now and then on Teletoon in Canada. Available officially on Region 2 DVD in Germany.

When I first watched this show on Teletoon, I was expecting the worst. It had at first glance an unoriginal concept with dull characters and bad animation. I changed the channel relatively quickly, but was forced to go back because of below-average quality programming on other stations...and because I kinda wanted to see if the show was good or not. I couldn't turn away after even the first 5 minutes. I have watched quite a few episodes, and have noticed crisp and original animation for it's kind, great humour, engrossing and unique stories (which is surprising because most cartoons in the first season or so go for the most cookie-cutter and generic stories), and even more interesting characters. All of the kids are very tolerable and I haven't noticed anything annoying or bothersome about them - they are very likable. Elliot is sort of an unofficial 'leader' of the kids' adventures sometimes, mostly because he is the most responsible and sticks to the rules. Josh is just a normal kid and the creators did a fantastic job with him, making him as close to the normal young teenager a I have ever seen before. Janice is the 'messy' gothy girl, but is also a good character. Victoria is the stuck-up rich girl but does try her best to be friends with the others. The teachers are also enjoyable, along with Mr. Malcolm, the principle, who is a wonderfully fantastically done character. I am really dumbfounded of how they were able to pull of such a likable character like that. Gilbert is also a very enjoyable character, and brings in some great non-joke humour to the show sometimes.Try and get a chance to watch this show, it's definitely worth a few watches (and a bigger audience :D ).
