ChanFamous I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.

ybredad Damien ReviewI just watched this series. Lots of potential. Here are a few likes and dislikes:Characters. Bradley James in the title role is believable as Damien. He manages to convince us that on some level (his conscious) he is good, even though we know (and he suspects) he's the antichrist. By the time the scence at the wake rolls around you know his subconscious has other ideas as James delivers a subtle performance displaying the charisma and strength he'll use to become the political powerhouse prophesied. (That slight piece of dialogue reminded me of Tarantino). Good job with the accent, James.Ann Rutlegde played by Barbara Hershey is simple in her complexity. Like Damien, you can't hate the woman. Her fierceness as protector/believer; her maternal warmth met with the tough love for a child she hopes will become all he can be. This makes you understand and respect her decisions. Yet, with every scene you feel like you haven't scratched the surface of the character. It would have been a joy to watch her peel away the layers. Scott Wilson (Lyons) does his job as an understated baddie, while (Simone) Megalyn E.K. is given way too much as one of the biggest catalysts on Damien's journey. This character does not deserve that role. She feels forced upon the audience.The first episode felt in a hurry, but began to settle in around the 3rd episode. Setting. Set in NY? Doesn't feel like it. If you're mentioning NY as much as you did in the first two episodes then make it so. NY is a character all it's own and that did not come through on this set. Work with the location scouts from "Strain." The cinematographer, though, did their best to compensate and get us in the mood for the apocalypse.I have not written a review in a very, very, very long time. Nor have I written a review on something that no longers airs. It is my wish that this series be resurrected a la "Arrested Development." Cheers!

Viktoria Neshova hi i do not know if i should write here about this,but it is only one question that i have and it is there will be more from the series or it is like many other ,,,,the people adored it and cant wait to see how would at after the interesting finish and then nothing you began to make another show ,that is 1000 time worst by Damien ,Constantin(by the way were the best also)the withes from east end..and many many more and instead those we should watch things for washing our imagination better oops to don't forget Outcast which one is something new and special.. thank you for you attention.............GOD Bless you with all mine respect Viktoria

sergio_habermann I must confess that i was very anxious about this series. But, at the end of the first season "Damien" proves itself as another big disappointment. I thought by myself, it will be a different way to tell the same story, but not. The plot is awful and doesn't utilize neither a very small part of the geniality of the first film, that was one of my most beloved flicks of all time. The original "Omen" film of 1976 was a masterpiece of suspense and terror, with the superb screenplay of David Seltzer and the Oscar-winning blood chilling score from Jerry Goldsmith. It was a perfect combination. I am a huge fan for almost 40 years. The sequels "Omen II" and "Omen III" was just "ok", and never exceeded the first one. But they had the Goldsmith's music, that, unlike the films, was becoming better and better. In this series, the producers resolve not use the sequel movies and tried to create a new life to the Antichrist Damien Thorn. Damien is shown as a disturbed young man, who does not know his true nature. The first episode gave us a lot of hope. But the entire first season was a quite disappointment, and a Barbara Hershey in a goofy performance, trying to be a young and gorgeous woman and never get it. What a waste.

dileepraja-me This was one of the amazing shows i have ever seen. People who are in to supernatural series should definitely watch this series. In some episodes the acting was poor and the actors delivered dialog poorly. The script lacked the depth expected.The effects are not much. I expected much horror but i ended up disappointed. Although it had lags at some places the series delivered the entertainment and excitement to satisfaction. I definitely enjoyed it more than Walking dead.Some one with not much exceptions could enjoy it more. Too bad it wont have season2, i urge the producers and directors to make the season 2 happen. Enjoyable to the end. :)
