Realrockerhalloween The kids of degree so are just like you dealing with homework, teachers and every social issue known to man.Unlike an after school special that dealt with sensitive issues for the pure drama factor, degrades carried over story lines and had fun with the concept.Sometimes it could shocking, controversial in the topic it was covering, but it never once felt over the top or unrealistic. The kids were unknown actors who honed their craft through the series and felt like naturals when it really counted.One of my favorites was the school shooting episode that has been building up since season 3. It brought out the heroes, shock and drama that everyone had inside of them. No show I ever seen ever went that far and I don't believe will again.Emma's eating disorder showed that even skinny people can have an eating disorder.It covered other issues like drinking, homosexuality, abuse etc, always in a correct and respectful way. It was pure magic. I felt like I living and learning with them.I own all 14 seasons, its spin-offs and take them down to recapture my youth from time to time. Will it be for everyone? No. It can be a little depressing sometimes and riddled with teen angst. Yet I fell I'm love with it for that reason alone.If you haven't seen degrassi, its about time for you to head to class.

thejordanrochon Let me start off by saying that the impact that this show has had on me is tremendous. The first eight seasons of this show are amazing. Season nine is okay. But, Seasons 10-14 were terrible. Just look at the episode ratings and you will see that the ratings significantly decrease in the tenth season. Coincidence? No. The writers just got lazy. To be fair they made nine amazing seasons and I can only imagine how hard it is to keep a show going with new and interesting circumstances.The acting, writing, and direction of the show are very good. It is no wonder that Degrassi has often been considered one of the greatest teen dramas of all time. Love it (seasons 1 - 9) and hate it (seasons 10 - 14). Overall, I thoroughly recommend it!!

jake-law123 This show is one of the lamest shows on TV. I realize the concept, and its not the least bit interesting. High school is not that f****d up for one thing. And another thing, its just simply retarded. I watched five episodes, all dealing with the same worthless bulls**t. Nothing about this show fascinates me the least bit. It involves bullies, homos, lesbians, and trannies.Give me a break will ya, no high school is that intense, no matter what. But other than that, it just sucks. Simple as that. I tried to like it, but I failed miserably. There's nothing in this show that can be useful to us, let alone entertain us.Although some of my friends like this school, I just don't get it. Maybe its a some people do, some don't, but as for me, it sucks!
