Excellent, smart action film.

It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.

if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.

A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.

I did appreciate the two first seasons as the actors and the scenes are perfect but I lost interest in the story after that. To be seen out of curiosity.

Elizabeth Montgomery is the weak link in this series.
Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoy this series. Z3

Risky to say why it is one of the most inspired series of the last decade. maybe, because it reminds a cathedral. same attention to details, same feeling of travel in past, same precision of each part, window, door and step. the cast, the impecable script and the admirable science of dialogue. and the open perspective about relations, period, clashes, weakness and manner to not propose heroes or statues. sure, all is know from other British series but it has the rare and useful gift to be a message to present from a time who seems, in appereance, so different and so far. so, a great serie. fascinating, yes. and splendid for courage to impose a perfect architecture.

Just an ordinary TV show, with a good wardrobe and the appealing touch the British master. Aside from that, its just another Soap Opera. Each episode feels like an overdose of drama. Unbalanced characters: The ones easy to love (Count and his family, Bates, Anna, etc etc) and those f****** Thomas and O'Brien (why is she his friend at all? Why do they work there AT ALL?). Good side, i'm loving the performances of some actors, Maggie smith i.e., we didn't see much of her in Harry Potter but here she steals the show every time she's on screen. Michelle Dockery as well as Mary, etc etc.Overall, 6/10 may be the best score I ever gave a Soap opera ever.
