the_one_008 Does it have the seriousness and medical intensity found on ER? No. Is it as "soap opera-ish" as Grey's anatomy? No. Is it as comical as Scrubs? No. Emily Owens MD takes the best elements found in the above shows. It's a medical drama with a splash of comedy and romance. The acting is good. The characters are likable. The writing is better than many of the shows that came out in 2012-2013. Emily Owens M.D. is enjoyable and entertaining.I was surprised to find that show had been cancelled. I missed this show during it's original run, I am sure a lot of people did. Shows this good normally don't get cancelled after one season. It's a fun show to binge watch on Amazon Prime or Netflix.

adriana_kovacikova I absolutely love this series and would love to see season 2 coming soon. It was one of the few quality TV series. I ever watched for years and saw season 1 in 2 days. Mummie Gummer is surprisingly a quality actress and has captured hearts of many people. I have seen her in little roles here and there in many other series and I think she makes a great contribution to TV and plays her characters with all her heart and soul. I was also surprised to find out she is the daughter of Meryl Streep. I would love to ask the producers to bring Emily back and all the characters as I am sure this show will find its audience once on the air. So please do not look only to make money and bring back the quality TV on our screens. It was a pleasure to follow all characters lives and I would be very happy to continue to see how all this finishes and Emily finding her love.

matea1000 I think that this is a rip off of an German TV-show. Look it up it's called Doctor's Diary, it was aired in 2008. The main characters in both shows are single blonde doctors. One talks to herself and the other to her diary. Both have work colleague that went in school them. Both had complicated relationships with two doctors. And so on... Same personal characteristics, they're likable, bit confused and shy, and of course good. And also there's that one person who doesn't like them, Emily and her 'nemesis' Casandra and nurse Gabi in Doctor's Diary. I didn't watch all episodes of this show, just a few today and had to say it. It's not the best show. It's just okay.

barb-596-927678 I'm sad that next week is the first season finale. I look forward to this show each week. As another reviewer said, it just puts a smile on your face while you are watching. Another plus is you root for and learn to love the "not popular" girl. The one who isn't so flashy. That ads to the fun!The show is about people. The hospital is fine background. I did love Grey's Anatomy during the early years but I don't think of this as being more of the same. I think it's Mamie Gunther as Emily Owens that makes the difference. The supporting cast is enjoyable too. Nothing too original here, but you'll enjoy it, I promise!
