AniInterview Sorry, this movie sucks

Ensofter Overrated and overhyped

SparkMore n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.

Bessie Smyth Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.

Mattias What's not to like? The outright anti-white, homophobe Original Gangster, who gets a son with a white wife, a homosexual son and a insufferable wannabe gangster? The plot about music, and black community. It's a down to earth, funny and simultaneously flamboyant.The show keeps it's momentum for all series I've watched. Not to mention the lead actress, she's absolutely wonderful.It's not the best show ive ever watched, but it's by far the best "pure" black show i've ever watched. There's no one I dislike, and there's no one I feel does a bad job.I can get why people are a bit naysayers to this. But, me personally? I'm raised on 2pac, biggie, xzibit, dr.dre, snoop dogg. I know so many of their songs by heart! And I feel like this show does the black music industry credit.8/10 I wish I could give more, but I feel it would need some more intelligent writing for me to do so, like game of thrones or westworld kind of writing. The shows doesn't have that, so I took off 2 points for that.

Trudy Stillbottom A good show gone bad. In the beginning, Cookie was the breakout and deservedly so, but now, in season 3 she is a cartoon. Empire has forgotten the Cardinal Rule of nighttime soaps. That is you have to have at least one character that is good and likable. That never wavers from that good. Here, almost every character is completely deplorable. Too many guest stars mugging for the camera. And all the children of privilege, getting much more than they deserve, and not equal in the talent department. It also past time to turn off that auto-tune machine. It is obvious that Hakeem does not possess the talent of the character and the excessive use of auto-tune in his performances is like painting everyone bright luminous yellow. Jamal is talented, but his distinctive voice and style makes everything sound repetitive and is approaching tiresome. We saw the rise of this Empire, I guess we now get to see the fall.

claraalmeidab This show is everything, I don't understand why people dislike it so much. There's A LOT of drama, yes, and even if you're not a drama lover, once you fall in love with the show you will handle and get it. This show is about family, about love, about music! It's about how this pretty dysfunctional family can work through all that it's bad and still be strong as one! At the end of the day you won't see a happy family for sure but I bet Luscious or Cookie or Hakeem, Andre or Jamal will put their life in danger in a heart beat just to save one another in a situation of life or death, no matter how bad things are between them. We've seen it at the end of season 2, so we sure will see more of it! And that's the beauty of the show.The way that Cookie fights for her family to stay together while Luscious is always tearing them apart. They just never give up on each other.Every character has a good story line and a big dept to its persona! The cast couldn't be more perfect, I mean, Terrence and Taraji are the soul of this show. The rest of the cast is brilliant too, no shade of a doubt.The music is beyond great and even greater if you follow the story of the show because you will be even more connected to the lyrics.I'm so excited to finally see how they're going to tell Luscious and Cookie's story as kids. Been waiting on that for a long time.Of course there is so much allusion to the world of music and how industry works,can u name me one show that is totally accurate with reality? It doesn't really matter because it is just a show. Anyways, I love it so much and for me, it was like a breath of fresh air when I discovered it. And it still is.To the Empire! * air punch *
