Softwing Most undeservingly overhyped movie of all time??

Khun Kru Mark It can't be a coincidence that 'F Is For Family!' is set in the same year as the program it most resembles, 'Wait Till Your Father Gets Home!'It has the same format, characters, problems and the same over-burdened dad leading the way. Younger viewers may see elements of Peter Griffin and Hank Hill, but Frank Murphy is Harry Boyle with a hot temper... which is exactly who (what) Bill Burr is!Here is an avenue of comedy that is difficult to make an impact in. There are many cartoon family sitcoms and thousands of episodes to choose from. But NetFlix has finally liberated this genre by allowing adult themes and language into the mix. (I wonder what Denis Leary would have done with an opportunity like this 30 years ago!)There are some great gags for the grown-ups... one of my favorites is the 'Castle Of The Elfin King' L.P. in episode 2 of the first season. All King Crimson fans should find a safe space immediately!Bill Burr does a good job of exploring the ideas that Family Guy would have had if it were let off its 'Fox TV' leash. This is the selfish world view of a today's adult - cast into a world of yesteryear when fathers quietly sacrificed their lives and feelings for their families. So that's initially a rather odd concept to embrace.And the swearing! Even though people do swear a lot in real life conversations, it's still odd to see the profusion of profanity in this program... but after a few episodes, it becomes more natural and less annoying.Great fun and Bill Burr followers will be delighted!

non-shill I have watched season 1 and 2 of "F is for Family". Being a fan of Bill Burr was the sole driver for me to watch, since I have not been a viewer of other adult cartoons, including all the most popular ones.The show is quite dark and negative at times, but not in a way I find very relatable. What annoyed me throughout season 2 in particular was how utterly cliché the main characters are: A loser husband who can hardly do anything right and constantly needs to apologize to his wife, a wife who is essentially perfect and more attractive than the husband, loser male children, and an essentially perfect female child.To add irony, Bill Burr has railed against those exact stereotypes in his stand-up comedy routines and on his podcast. I guess the bags of Netflix money made getting on the train to Cliché Town irresistible.What's more, there was one and only one laugh-out-loud moment for me in the entire second season, and it happened at the very end of the very last episode. Weak.This is the part where you vote me down because you're an unquestioning fan and need to bury any review you disagree with.

Devin Lj Clark Love this show so much super funny and real... Everyone should watch it its real so honest to how some families really are. I watched all the episodes in one sitting and then told everyone about it. Can not wait till next season which is coming may 30 super excited you guys should really watch it.
