countryboy783 faking it with the chess guy and Wally Downes as his mentor was compulsive viewing. wally was terrific with his soccer choreography in the mean machine in2000 and the way he guided this guy Max showed his empathy for such a difficult project. when he quits as a soccer coach we want him back on screen.....BIG OR S MALL the small cameo in MM hopefully will interest him enough to go again in the eagerly awaited sequel Mean Machine 2.....The BREAKOUT!!! news is Vinnie Jones has the script close to completion and moves into pre-production in the fall. most of WJD's time was taken up with the soccer scenes in the original but an expanded dialogue is being worked on and his relationship with Meehan (vinnie jones) will be the cornerstone of the project. word is this could be Vinnies directorial debut!
welshNick This is a show that Channel 4 started making in the UK and has been aired over a number of years. Each episode has a member of the general public being given a task of learning a new job in just 4 weeks and then fooling a panel of judges. The person chosen would have absolutely nothing in common with the task or job that they had been given to do which would make it all the more difficult. Each week would be different and not everyone succeeded. Everyone would have a first class back up and coaching team behind them and every effort was made to try and fool the judges. I enjoyed each one of these and the series was picked up by the USA who also made a first class programme. Watch and enjoy .....
