What a freaking movie. So many twists and turns. Absolutely intense from start to finish.

While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.

This is a cringe worthy show that only the regressive left could find funny because there is a constant barrage of racist insults towards whites and others. Now, to be honest, I don't care. All racial groups need ribbing. But I can't help but sit and watch and consider if the roles were reversed the left's collective heads would be exploding. It's interesting because it also perpetuates a lot of Asian stereotypes that, for decades now, we've been told are either not true or are simply racist to point out. Unlike something like All in the Family, where racism was treated as something to be looked down upon, it seems to be portrayed as something that is not only OK, but something that the Chinese embrace. What's funny is that Constance Wu has come down on others for being "racist" but apparently cannot see her own hypocrisy. Now, if not for the left's constant barrage over the course of my entire life of "everything is racist" this would probably be an enjoyable show. But, alas, the left has ruined the ability for people to laugh at one another or themselves (something which should be OK). Maybe, with that in mind, this show is a step in the right direction... but I doubt it.

I've just finished watching episode 14(S02) of this show "Fresh Off the Boat"–this is by far the best one of the season. It featured the mother being driven to get her son to become a doctor and discovers he's got tennis skills and happily channels her maniacal obsession to excellence to that– this is arch-typical of Asian mothers. I can see why the producers had the dad be a generic American dad (in personality) to offset the mother, otherwise it can be too over-the-top. It's typically Asian while any family can relate to it too.Cameo appearance by Billie Jean King, a tennis legend, to throw a McEnroe-esque temper tantrum when she gets fired by the mom was an absolute gem of a scene. The reference to Michael Chang of the 90's being the sole Asian sports star harks back to more recent times to the Linsanity craze in recent years. If FOTB keep to this formula, I can't see why it can't maintain a good following for many years.

these Koreans and Chinese didn't come off a boat. The Vietnamese people did and it's offensive. Change the name of this show, it makes me nauseous and enrages me.Take a moment and read up on the tears that were shed during the Vietnamese refugee crisis.Dat kho is a great book. This show ran three seasons with this title? I'm calling the ACLUI can't watch the show without wanting to throw my remote at the TVWow. SeriouslyNot cool

It started out slow and not particularly funny but it has grown on me. Maybe I needed to wait for the character development before it could become entertaining. Speaking of, the cast are pretty good. They're all pretty awkward but I figured that was the point.God kids are awful little creatures. It's so hard to watch a new kid trying to fit in especially when they come from a different background. If I had one criticism it would be that it's very clear this show is a copy of Everybody Hates Chris. From the occasional voice-over to the three kids personalities... did anybody else notice that the youngest can do no wrong, the middle one is a complete ladies man that everybody loves and the oldest is the screwup. Not very original. Not to mention the whole show is about one kid fitting into a non-diverse environment where they're the outsider. But aside from that it's pretty good.
