Am I Missing Something?
Doomtomylo
a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.

The joyful confection is coated in a sparkly gloss, bright enough to gleam from the darkest, most cynical corners.

A clunky actioner with a handful of cool moments.

A lot of the reviews on here said they only got two episodes through, that's not enough to form an opinion, come on. And also a lot mentioned that there was too much singing, but sorry, its a MUSICAL COMEDY. And the singing is honestly what makes it so great. Its something different finally. And its a parody so its cheesy beyond all hell but that's the point, the costumes, the dialouge, the crappy and hilarious jokes, hell they break the fourth wall for gosh sake. They were fearless while making this and they let their vision happen, they didn't care about the ratings. Refer to the season two premiere episode, **SPOILER** the opening song is literally about how they were cancelled somehow so they are just running with it until they do inevitably do get cancelled. Hilarious and fresh. It is such a great show and I have watched it so many times since I found it when they put it on Netflix. Even if you don't like musicals, this one is worth a shot, it is not a true musical it is a PARODY (cannot stress that enough). It makes fun of itself all the way though the show, it always says exactly what you were thinking. And I am waiting for a third season, hopefully we get it. This show deserves it so much more than most shows out there. Like once you get to the 10th season of something, its time to let go. Not after just 18 episodes. But its so good, watch it.

What an incredible show! A very witty, cheesy comedy. If you're a fan of Alan Menken's music (Little Shop of Horrors, Sister Act, Little Mermaid, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Newsies, Hercules, Enchanted), then you'll love the clever score. The cast is all fantastically funny. A very feel-good comedy where you root for everyone, even the villains. Self-referential and 4th wall-breaking, if that's your thing. Short enough to finish in two weeks or so, but you'll wish there was more! Just a 20-minute shot of lightness and happiness. Hoping for another network to pick it up for a third season, but if it doesn't happen, they wrapped it up satisfactorily enough that you feel like you've watched a complete story and won't be left wanting more when you finish.

Firstly (having read other reviews I feel the need to make this extra clear) - this is a MUSICAL COMEDY - if you don't like musicals (and/or you have no sense of humour) you may be better off perhaps doing something else with your time.If you're a fan of Monty Python, Blackadder, Robin Hood (Men in Tights) then this is for you. You'll be physically incapable of NOT loving it.The songs are short and catchy, the comedy is rather British and the story, while being very 'fairytale', isn't a story you'll have seen before. It's unique and brilliantly told. The wittiest, prettiest, funniest, most polished show I've seen in decades. And just when you think the comedy may be running dry you'll get kicked in the feels by a genuinely heartfelt moment. Utterly perfect.

Finally, ABC TV has come up with a show that the entire family of all ages can watch together. It is brilliantly written, superbly acted, and there's enough smirking in it to thrill even the most grouchy viewer. The cast interacts with chemistry that the Kardashians would envy. Gag lines are delivered flawlessly and with perfect timing. You have to watch each episode at least twice to catch everything, including the scenery & extras. This show is refreshing, quirky, thoroughly enjoyable, and downright mesmerizing to watch. Never a dull moment. You even cheer for the bad guys and gals. The sad part is, ABC deliberately did not market nor advertise this show well. To them, it was almost an afterthought and couldn't care less if it made it to the screen. Although Ben Sherwood announced on May 12, 2016, that the series was canceled, he should have known better of his viewing audience. They demand Galavant be renewed. At least Netflix is now seriously interested in continuing the saga.
