Good , But It Is Overrated By Some

Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.

I was bored one rainy Saturday, my friends were out, I had nothing to do, so I switched on Nickelodeon hoping something like Fairly Odd Parents or Spongebob was on. Instead, I had this crap thrown out at me.The acting is poor, the script unfunny, and it was all very predictable. It is all British actors, but you don't get that sort of house in Britain! I have never seen a house like that in Britain, and it looks like it was Americans making this crap.It has all been done before, and I can't believe that people actually like this. Kids will like this, but they will regret watching it in later life.My advice: Make sure you stay well away from this shi t

Can Nickeloden please cease bothering trying to make British programmes for the channel. Renford Rejects, Laugh Out Loud and now this, all of them are absolutely horrendous. The acting in this programme is extremely poor, the story lines are poor, and for British actors (looked it up) what the hell are the accents really about? Do we really sound like that, heaven forbid.Absolute rubbish. Up against the American programming, it is absolutely embarrassing. Please, Nicelodeon, please stop making a fool out of this nation with such abysmal programming.I don't even get the setting. Is it based in England? Where did the genie come from?

OK, so the acting is awful and you can't really deny that. I'm not sure whether the actors are British and bad, or American trying to be British, but either way, their accents cannot be real. No Brits talk like that. The story lines are predictable and some of the scenarios the characters find themselves in are ridiculous. The show is obviously low-budget, as is made clear by the average special effects. The genie, Adil, has the most stupid voice and makeup on, it's almost laughable. I feel embarrassed for him. But ultimately, I think the show is designed to be silly watching. Like the other Nickelodeon UK show, Renford Rejects, which was really quite awful. On the positive sides, I can imagine the show being a bit of fun-watching for younger children, such as below 11. Also, the two sisters and very attractive and well worth a look. Give the show a few tries, and once you adopt to its unique style, you may find it interesting.

I know it may not be the best show in the world but I actually quite like it. In time it'll improve, everyone just needs to give it a second chance instead of blowing it away after seeing one episode. I like all of the characters and the plot of the episodes. I especially liked the episode where Adil (the genie) turned Philip (the dad) into a hippie causing all sorts of problems throughout the episode. The talent show episode was really good as well. I hope to see more of Genie in the house on Nickelodeon. Everyday at 5pm.Go on what more could you wish for?
