Reviews

Platicsco Good story, Not enough for a whole film
Stellead Don't listen to the Hype. It's awful
Beystiman It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.
Whitech It is not only a funny movie, but it allows a great amount of joy for anyone who watches it.
Jima-36-585491 This is another example of taking a (maybe) four hour story and expanding it into 12 hours (so far). The result is a lot of non-sensical filler.
hitchedhunter Was looking for something to watch on Netflix and came across this. Absolutely loved it and hope there will be a Season 3!!
D H The concept for this show is good, but it appears to be one of those Sci-Fi shows that remains small scale as a result that the writers are aware to do more with it would dramatically affect the budget. As a result the story becomes introspective, it leaves the primary premise (returning from the dead) alone to get lost in backstories and conflicts between the characters as a diversion from dealing with the shows driving issue. I might be wrong but usually this is because the writers see a great idea but can't really take it where it probably ought to go, nor think up the answers that give the initial premise closure. So the idea of a group of resurrectee's living in the outback is ok. The show has real potential but it needs the courage to face the fact that the introspective plot lines are not very convincing. For example (Spoilers) - The fact that the cop would want to keep it a secret that people have returned from the dead. The fact that the local Doctor would be complicit in this. The idea that the doctor would take the resurectee's to a secret location in order to keep them 'safe'. It bumbles on with these distraction plots. The acting is fine, the sets are fine, the Aussies have developed a good track record of producing drama's, they're good as relatively low budget shows. Great premise but please, be bold. Drive the main story arc.
tom_masiello ...are the terrible editing and ludicrous dialog. There are no end to scenes in this series that jump from one moment to the next that contradict previous scenes. For example, in S2 E1, Kate meets a guy at a lake she's swimming in who comes clearly out of nowhere. They start to chat, She seems clearly uncomfortable and puts on her shirt. Cut to another scene. Cut back to the lake scene and she has no shirt on and the guy she was clearly trying to avoid and she are buddy-buddy having a comfy "chat." Lame dialog: James and Sarah are talking next to their newborn in the hospital room...James: "You almost died Sarah." Sarah: "No biggie." James: "that's because you don't remember it, but I do." Sarah: "Ok. No, I was standing in this long dark tunnel..." You get the idea. Stupid, vapid, lame and also meant to be a joke they are sharing. Dumb.
