Wonderful character development!

Disappointment for a huge fan!

A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."

An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.

I really do enjoy this show and it has left me unable to breathe from laughing at times, and so I have rated it very high. However, I am often frustrated by what I see as lost potential. The show starts very strong with a great guest star in the first episode who plays along well and is hilarious. However, many of the guest stars are either unfunny or not a good fit for this show (Chelsea Peretti, Aubry Plaza, Gillian Jacobs). They need to be more selective of guest stars. Spencer and Jeff are great regular cast members. Spencer particularly is hilarious and carries the show. Dan Harmon himself can be funny (even if most of his jokes are along the lines of "Oh sh**!") but he needs to prepare better. He often bumbles around and makes unfunny jokes that are just awkward. Erin McGathy is the biggest thing holding this show back. I could not believe it when I saw she was back in the second season. Not only is she not funny, she is completely unfunny. I usually cringe when she attempts to make a joke. Her only positive contributions are when she says or does something stupid that the others can make a good joke out of. To end on a positive note, the show is very creative and the production value is high. Very funny, but I hope that changes are made before season 3 (and I do hope there is a season 3).

I've never played D&D, so it was nice to see a little of how it's implemented. Now I can put away my desire to play it sometime just to see what it's like.Outside of that, the one episode I saw left me underwhelmed. I mean, it was cute. A bunch of people sit around and create a fantasy story guided by a facilitator, and they make jokes, and seem to be having a good time. And some of it's animated, which is cute. But this is no Rick and Morty or Community. It's a shabby, shambling thing. It's somewhat amusing, but hardly hilarious.Still, I'm certainly not part of this show's target audience, because it's pretty much aimed at D&D folk. So if you're one of them, enjoy.

If you like Drunk History, you will love HarmonQuest. Each episode is a chapter in Spencer's story of the binding rune stones. The game play is animated along with the dialog Spencer, Dan, Erin, Jeff, and the celebrity guest of the episode. Spencer does a great job as Game Master, he weaves a wonderful tale of ghosts, kobolds, and flying swords.Dan, Spencer, Erin, and Jeff are masterful players in Pathfinder. Adding hilarious dialog and actions to Spencer's world and quest, this group is one with great chemistry together and stay in character really well.

when i first watched this show i was just like " what?! this is not a cartoon ?!" i would switch off ...but i didn't and ...and...and yes it's a cartoon , but it's also a show ,Harmonquest is a kind of super mutant mixing role playing game ,an awesome show with people playing RPG (role playing game) and one of the most cool animation , it's like if you were playing with your friends ...and making the adventure into your brain ...around a table...but you aren't :) ...it's a totally crazy adventure into an heroic fantasy world with orcs, goblins ,elves , dragons , pirates and stuff ... like disc world ,the lord of the rings with the "Rick and Morty"'s fun in it , the game master Spencer Crittenden is just excellent , Dan Harmon is great as always, his team Erin Mcgathy , Jeff Bryan Davis are brilliant and there is a new guest star for each episode (Paul f. Tompkins as Teflonto or the Hawaiian coffee Aubrey PLaza )... this is just the best cartoon i saw since Rick & Morty. if you didn't understood anything of what i said it's maybe because i'm french and i'm really really really sorry about that ;)
