Excellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.

Watched 5 episodes today, and not buying most of the dialog... Some people, who may be sensing a non-Corporeal Ethereal entity or being, should not be encouraged into believing subjective definitions, that what they are sensing is really the spirit(s) of deceased persons or interactive demons... Your investigators and unsuspecting people with encounters, have been deceived by the philosophy or ideology, from the 'Mantra of Mediums'... C'mon Man...

Personally I like the re-enacted paranormal shows better than those which feature ghost hunters attempting to capture paranormal evidence. My favorite is Paranormal Witness, while I also find Paranormal Survivor good to a slightly lesser degree. What makes these shows better, and scarier, is seeing and hearing the real victims tell their haunting along with well produced re-enactments featuring actors. They often feature the addition of paranormal investigators, mediums, and, sometimes, clergy and others who attempt to cleanse the spirits. Haunted Case Files follows a similar formula, but it is different. It seems the emphasis here is on the investigator's efforts to understand the high strangeness. For me, anyway, the fact the real victims are utilized as much in telling the story makes it quite different if similar. It makes sense since carbon copy shows rarely are as good as the templates. So, a different template is good. The shows often feature three stories in one episode so they move through each haunting quicker. While the similar shows, especially Paranormal Witness, often seeks to find a cleansing resolution this show more often doesn't do that as it just documents the investigations primarily. The best thing is that it still feels real with ample mystery and scares. Also, the places investigated are not redundant, but are of places and people not yet covered by other shows. Quite of few of the properties are very old and have a rich, oftentimes dark, history. So, if you're like me in preferring stories of real victim's haunting over the crews of ghost hunters attempting to find anything then I can highly recommend this new series.
