Reviews

Adeel Hail Unshakable, witty and deeply felt, the film will be paying emotional dividends for a long, long time.
Kamila Bell This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Ortiz Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
Roxie The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
Prismark10 I was intrigued by Intruders. Its co-produced by BBC Worldwide, with several British actors such as John Simm doing a US accent but the girl playing Madison, (Millie Bobby Brown) is outstanding but I felt Mira Sorvino was wasted.Intruders is adapted by Glen Morgan, one of the star writers for The X Files. When his wife Amy Whelan (Mira Sorvino) disappears, her husband a former LA cop Jack Whelan (John Simm) goes in search for her and discovers a secret society that has discovered a way to cheat death as their souls take over other people's bodies. It looks like Amy is not who Jack thought she was.Madison O'Donnell a little girl who is on the run as she tries to escape an assassin who is also a shepherd for the secret society as the souls leave and enter the various bodies.The show starts dense and stays that way and frankly gets worse as the series goes on. Its rather disconnected as we follow various characters and confusing because some of the characters have had multiple lives. The little girl, Madison is also inhabited by a murderous old man who is fighting over her soul.The series tanked in the ratings in the UK where it failed to gain a foothold. It seems even British viewers failed to be swept up with this supernatural series because it was adamant to stay dark and dense.
serdrakov8 Before starting to watch "The Intruders", I was watching Sleepy Hollow season 1. (hold on, there is a reason I bring this up) After 4 episodes, it was tedious to watch Sleepy Hollow because it is just a bunch of religion marketing. "Good" vs "Bad", same old same old. However, with Intruders I found a fresh story. It touches good and evil but from a more abstract approach. It gives room to the characters to develop in ways that are extremely interesting. I loved the story, and the acting is great! The girl!! Madison/Marcus... WOW she is good; sweet and creepy at the same time. I just finished watching the 8th episode (last of first season- watched first season in 2 nights), and I wanna see more of this. I may be wrong, but I couldn't find many loop holes in the story (like in other shows such as "the arrow", where after the 6th episode, the "hero" just starts sounding like he is full of it when saying "I wanna do what's good" while killing who knows how many on the way to save one.) All I can say is I loved the way it was made; took me 2 episodes to understand the structure of the story (because I haven't seen any story like it before) but once I got it, I needed more!
mikegmc90 I can't SE myself wanting to view all the episodes I get the feeling that it is going to be repetitive with 10 minutes of the next episode going over the previous episode and the last 5 minutes of the episode will be all the action .I would be really surprised if this a hit for the BBC ,that is why they showed 2 episodes back to back they realized they would probably loose a large percent of the viewers after the first episode . The plot of the first episode was to be honest boring with the second episode not Much better ,if you think long periods of sitting in a car and staring at a mobile phone Is gripping viewing then I can't see it getting much better and the gentlemen pretending To be an FBI agent going around shooting every body with immunity is a bit insulting to American law enforcement agencies !
jonnithomas The first program shows various scenes and events which are disjointed.The background sounds to the scenes are designed to jar and be disconcerting. It contains sounds which are just slightly too loud and prevent you from hearing what is being said clearly. a lot of it simply is overdone and artificial.a lot of the scenes shown are supposed to be mystifying or frightening but I simply found them irritating.Clearly some of the people that watched this decided that is was very good but that simply leads me to wonder why.this program is about as entertaining as hearing somebody scratching their nails on a chalkboard... it's discordant and meaningless.it's a shame as the idea of the series sounded interesting.
