On their arrival Bond encounters one of S.C.U.M.'s agents; Felony O'Toole kidnaps both Anna and Professor Braintrust so that S.C.U.M. can force him to program the Galaxy defense system which they stole.

After an eventful day in English History, Phoebe Farragut asks Bond Junior if he'd like to go with her to witness the grand opening ceremony of the Mile High Sky Scraper in New York. James doesn't want to go with her, but tell her he will knowing that Mr. Millbanks will never allow them to travel anywhere outside of a field trip. However to Bond's surprise Millbank has been placed under direct order by Phoebe's father, the man who helped finance the construction of the building, to make sure she is there to witness the ceremony.

EP11 Valley of the Hungry Dunes Sep 30, 1991

While at a funfair, 007's nephew spots someone sabotaging a rollercoaster's tracks, and the ride's sole occupant is heading straight for disaster! Bond nicks and motorcycle and rides it up the tracks, rescuing the damsil in destress. She turns out to be Princess Yasmin, the daughter of Sheikh Yabootie of Al Khaline in the middle east. Greatful for his daughter's rescue, the King invites Young Bond and his friends to his yacht. Over dinner he tells them that he has discovered a vast reservoir of fresh, uncontaminated water beneath his country's baron desert and explains that he plans to distribute free water to the poor and dying people of his country. However there is but one thorn in his side, S.C.U.M.!

EP12 Pompeii and Circumstance Oct 01, 1991

Trevor Noseworthy IV invites James Bond Junior, IQ, Gordo Leiter, Phoebe Farragut and Tracy Millbanks to his family's home on the Iyalian Riviera. But whilst driving through the Rivera a massive hole explodes in the ground, the Aston Martin Super avoids plunging into the abyss but a passing tour guide is not so lucky. Bond and IQ manage to rescue 'Louisa' from her car. Examining the rock formations, IQ uncovers the this was not a natural disaster, but the cause of a subterranean drill.

When Phoebe Farragut's father sponsors the feild testing of Professor Firma's seismic conductor, he invites Phoebe's whole geometric class to witness it. The device is designed to send out shock waves capable of jamming the waves generated during earthquakes, thus preventing such a disaster.

EP15 Never Lose Hope Oct 04, 1991

Whilst in town at the mall Young Bond is attacked by a clown, but he escapes. It's the third attempt on his life in the week, and each the would be killer uses the same style. Bond returns to warfeild in time to be (Along with the rest of the students) introduced to their new science teacher, Miss Hope Eternal; the daughter of a world famous scientist who was kidnapped by S.C.U.M. back in the 80's.

In Lock Ness, Captain McGregger and his crew of two fishing men disappear. Eye witnesses say they saw his boat eaten by the Lock Ness Monster...

EP17 Appointment in Macau Oct 08, 1991

While on a train heading back to Warfeild, ninja forces hang glide onto the plane and try to kidnap a judo student called Lily Mai. James Bond Junior is able to thwart the kidnapping and befriend the girl. Apparently she is on the same judo team as Bond. The two go out for soda but the girl is very secretive about her father, who she has not seen in two years. After the date, the same ninja forces make a second kidnapping atempt and time it susceeds when they use a gas grenade. Before Bond goes out cold, he gets a good look at the criminal master mind behind the kidnapping; Dr. Julius No and over hears him mentioning an 'Appointment in Macau'...

Plank, whose latest scheme involves building the deadliest ship that ever hoisted the Jolly Roger. He kidnapped marine engineer Walter Gibson to this end.

EP48 Goldie's Gold Scam Nov 20, 1991

While in Africa, the group is attacked by a rhino wearing a strap with a micro chip in it. Tracking it back to its source, Bond and IQ uncover a plot by Goldfinger and Goldie Finger to seize all the gold mines in the area for themselves.

EP49 Canine Caper Nov 21, 1991

James, IQ and Gordo use a stray dog which follows Bond back to the Warfield to locate its master who had the security plan of Scotland Yard, who is abducted by Skullcap; Dr. Derange needs the microfilm so that he can break through Scotland Yard's security so that he can place his acid bomb in Scotland Yard's building foundation and destroy it.

EP50 Weather or Not Nov 22, 1991

Dr. Derange takes control of the national weather satellite so that he would have complete control of the weather across England. He attempts to cause chaotic weather across the capital so Skullcap and his henchmen can do a series of robberies.

EP51 Ol' Man River Nov 25, 1991

Captain Walker D. Plank plans to flood New Orleans by destroying the Levee with a large amount of explosive placed in a fake River Queen. During evacuation of New Orleans, Plank attempts to use this to his advantage to gain access to the U.S. mint and steal the printing press.

EP52 Between a Rock and a Hard Place Nov 26, 1991

James and his friends race against time to get to an advanced prototype fighter jet which has crashed somewhere in wild country of Australia before Dr. Derange and his henchmen get there first.

EP53 Sherlock IQ Nov 27, 1991

In London, James and IQ come from a Sherlock Holmes convention, but Baron von Skarin, with his henchmen Jaws and Nick Nack, use a prototype super tank they stole and attack the city, but then a knock on the head causes IQ to think he is Sherlock Holmes.

Goldfinger hijacks a space shuttle in midair so that he can use it to bring an asteroid made up solid gold on a collision course with Earth. With the tracing software being designed by IQ, James and the gang head to Iceland where the signal of the space shuttle is coming from.

James Bond Jr. and IQ get caught in a S.C.U.M. feud between Ms. Fortune and Walker D. Plank over stealing a super powerful engine from the 'Cold Fusion' Train.

James and his friend visit Yellowstone National Park where Dr. Derange attempts to extract a crystal from Old Faithful for his latest plot.

James saves a girl named Ruby who was captured by a gang who wanted her necklace, but she was set up by her aunt, Tiara Hotstones, who tries to bring them to Baron von Skarin in Germany to use them to steal the F-15 Jets for himself.

In Hong Kong, Trevor picks a purple rose, but it somehow hypnotizes him; now it is up to James, IQ, Tracey, and Jasmine to go to the field of the purple rose to find a cure; however, Doctor No and Oddjob try to stop their plan.

Synopsis

While attending prep school at Warfield Academy, James Bond Jr. with the help of his friends I.Q. (supposedly the grandson of Q) and Gordo Leiter (supposedly the son of Felix Leiter), fights against the evil terrorist organization SCUM (Saboteurs and Criminals United in Mayhem). Expanding on his uncle's famous line, James Bond Jr.'s catch phrase was "Bond, James Bond. Junior."

He'll have weapons, a slick car, and a team that helps him.Boss: I like where you're going, but we need to tie it to something marketable, something familiar, something that will sell...Person #2: How about James Bond? Boss: Yes! That's exactly what I was thinking!Person #1: James Bond? You mean, the book and film series with violence, sex and dark story lines? How are we going to appeal that to kids?Boss: Easy. We make it a version with younger characters. Let's make it... his nephew! Call him James Bond Jr.Person #1: But isn't James Bond an only child? Isn't the Junior surname for sons only, not nephews?Boss: Nonsense! An eight year old won't know the difference.Person #2: Yeah, and we tie the toyline to a TV cartoon. We drop the violence and sex to be almost non existent, add characters related to other Bond characters that somehow end up at the same school, and have humor only a kid can appreciate.Boss: Yes yes yes! The toy promotes the cartoon, which promotes the toyline. I love it!Person #1: But... isn't that talking down to kids? Blunting what James Bond was really about?Boss: Who cares! Ian Fleming isn't going to walk through that door in disapproval. Get this going immediately. The next Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!Basically, that's what I imagine how the meeting went when this series was created. If you couldn't tell, I was never a huge fan of it. Poor animation, watered down action, corny and cheesy jokes and humor, and anything resembling the classic Ian Fleming works neutered to kid friendly levels. The show was a vehicle to sell a toy line and that was pretty much it. It came at the height of "kid versions" of adult characters (Muppet Babies, Flintstone Kids, etc.) as well as the cartoons inspired by toys. Soon after this show, high quality action cartoons were created like "Batman: The Animated Series" and "X-Men", but this show followed the unfortunate trend at the time of action cartoons talking down to kids all in the name of toy sales. Oh yeah, and James Bond was an only child!!! Don't waste your time on this one.
Mel J It is probably the nostalgia over memories of being ten years old again and waking up early every morning during the summer holidays to watch this show but I do have a soft spot for 'James Bond Junior', not least because it had a very catchy theme tune! The cartoon sees teenage James Bond Junior, the nephew of the famous MI6 spy, attending Warfield School, along with his classmates IQ, the grandson of Q, the beautiful niece of Miss Moneypenny and Felix Leiter's son Gordo. Of course, the kids always find themselves embroiled in plots that see them fighting against SCUM (Saboteurs and Criminals United in Mayhem), a criminal syndicate of terrorists, psychos and mad scientists.A far cry from Charlie Higson's darker young Bond novels, 'James Bond Junior' sounds cheesy because it is cheesy. But for a cartoon show aimed the under twelves', it provided a light-hearted introduction to the James Bond franchise (which was needed at a time when we were lumbered with Timothy Dalton as Bond- the man is a great actor but he just wasn't right for the role). It was a nice homage to Bond and certainly much more entertaining than the dumbed down pap that kids are stuck with these days. At least in this show, you didn't have adults pretending to the sixteen and fighting paper mache aliens like you see in the never-ending 'Power Ranger' series.
Spock-6 A worthwhile attempt by MGM to get James Bond to appeal to the children's and teens audiences without the women aspect. Interesting, but a good series. Clearly, James Bond was never meant for children. IT's seriously an adult-oriented program.
