Synopsis

Kevin Spencer is an in-your-face-funny, adult oriented, animated comedy. It chronicles the wacky adventures of the massively eccentric Spencer family as seen through the eyes of their teenage son, Kevin, an oddly astute and likable sociopath-in-the-making. Part satire, part social commentary, but mostly just fun and funny, the stories are as surprising and unpredictable as they are hysterical.

Cissy Évelyne It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
bigleiinthecv Funny & ridiculous; I had my whole circle stuck on Kevin Spencer until Netflix decided to take it away.Absolutely better than the Simpsons. Not a children's show. Adult Swim should consider airing Kevin Spencer. It makes it hilarious that they do all kinds of pills, they drink ridiculous stuff that isn't even real alcohol, yet they talk about weed as if it's this bad drug..lol .The only people who are offended by Kevin Spencer, are those who lived a similar childhood, but if you had fun growing up, this show is suuuper funny.
drsmoothxxx This show should not be compared to South Park Why? It is an unfair comparison...South Park should be compared to Kevin Spencer.Has South Park been around longer, Yes. Are the two shows comparable. NO.Kevin Spencer, is a far better show. Hands down. South park is a great show.. But the 2 aren't comparable. Both have swearing.. Both have crude animation.. That is where the comparison ends..Comparing the two.Would be like comparing "Married With Children" and "The Cosby Show", Because both shows don't swear, are in English, and both aren't animated.Everyone would say comparing MWC to TCS is a unfair Comparison...
Randy Coates I give this show four out of ten even though I think it deserves more like three out of ten. Once in a while there would be a joke on this show that would almost make me laugh but usually the jokes were pretty stupid and the show in general was predictable and dumb. The Percy character was great and I really liked Alan the Magic Goose but it seemed to be the same types of stories again and again where Kevin and or Percy got caught up in some criminal activity and then get out of it in the end somehow, usually by some strange coincidence, and you usually know where the show is going before it actually gets there.I don't have too much of a problem with all of the swearing/drugs/violence/sex because it was specifically a show for adults I just thought the show wasn't that great and what really dragged it down was the production values. It's to be expected with a cheap Canadian show like this but it was really distracting it was done so badly.
Adam Lawrence Welsh What a hilarious show this is! Its easily one of the funniest cartoons on TV these days. Its obviously mature and the animation makes "South Park" look like Disney's "Tarzan", plus the main character never utters a word, but what I can say? Its a hoot. The show basically breaks down like this. Kevin Spencer is a really screwed up teenager who's family is so dysfunctional, they make the Connors on "Roseanne" look like "The Brady Bunch". Many members of Kevin's family (Kevin included) have been in and out of prison more times than Martin and Charlie Sheen combined. In fact, that was the original point of the series. Kevin would tell stories (through flashbacks. He doesn't talk, remember?) to a prison psychiatrist while serving his life sentence that show just how demented he truly is. What's more, he abuses cough syrup, smokes like a chimney, and takes advice from a magic goose named Allen that lives inside his head. What's not to like? What I like most about "Kevin Spencer" is how at first glance, it resembles a children's show, with its childish drawings and deadpan narrator. Of course nothing could be the further from the truth. This is NOT a children's cartoon. Its vulgar, violent, profane, and I love every minute of it. Even though Kevin got paroled after the first season, the show is still funny as he continues his reign of terror at home and on the streets. Another thing I like about the show; unlike other shows about family dysfunction such as "Titus", not once does "Kevin Spencer" try to come off as realistic. Kevin's family doesn't kiss and make up at the end of an episode. In fact, an episode is more likely to end in a police raid on the Spencer's house or with Percy (Kevin's dad) knocking over a liquor store just to buy smokes. The show's first season has just been released on VHS and DVD ("WOW! Those ugly drawings are now digital!!!!") and if you ever see it at your local video store, I urge you to check it out. Unless you hate this kind of comedy (I call it South Park-esque), you will not be disappointedRating: 4 stars ****
