BootDigest Such a frustrating disappointment
TeenzTen An action-packed slog
Keeley Coleman The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
Lidia Draper Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
Jason Brown "It's about cons conning cons. For the sake of the little guy." This is how I describe this show to anyone who asks why I love this show so much. It's in my top 5 shows I can rewatch over and over without a problem. Reasons: -Each character is strong, not just in "their own way," as the cliche goes, but in a real cool way to make each memorable. -Each episode (except the 2-part S1 finale) has a different con and scheme. -It goes out of the way to offer something fresh and inspiring. -Every time I watch it, it still gets funnier, more heartwrenching. -No villain feels half-baked or barely worth the time to be dealt with. -By the series finale, everything feels complete, no plot holes.When you have such strong characters, memorable villains, evocative themes, relevant thoughts, very good writing (no matter who's writing for which season), how can I possibly pass it up? As Sophie Devreaux says in season 5, "It's a personal thing, you know?"
linzimarieross I don't remember watching all the TV program of Leverage, but what i did manage to watch i loved.I since collected all the series on DVD and i can still watch them over and over again, which to me is very rare and a joy and is never boring.I loved the characters, their interactions and their development and i think the show could have lasted much longer.I was a bit disappointed that there would be no more leverage, i think that in some ways it may have went under the radar for a lot of people, i know for a fact that some times i missed it on TV and not because i wasn't interested, but sometimes i did not realise it was back on etc.I hope that leverage could return, whether with TV series or movie idea and i hope that the team will come together again. But in the mean time i will continue to watch the series over and over and i just found out about leverage books today.I wish all the actors and crew of Leverage well and thank you its been a joy to watch.
TreasuresQueen I have re-watched this series for the third time now and it gets better every time. TNT made a mistake by pulling this show! The development of the characters over 5 seasons was phenomenal! Taking 5 different personalities and meshing them into one common goal every episode was pure magic by the creators (Dean Devlin, John Rogers, and Chris Downey).The humor and human emotion displayed in the episodes made you feel as if you could relate to one or more of the characters and the action packed in between made it realistic. There needs to be a follow-up TV movie!
crsecon This is a very private-enterprise successor to the spirit of the con- men/women fooling evildoers under impossible conditions Peter Graves hit of many years ago. The Government is not involved in any way (except as bumbling or unable to act) and the action is much more domestic. The bad guys are the good guys here. Not sure yet quite how (1)criminals all work together for the greater good contrary to their basic natures, (2) how all the large expenses are paid for each medium con since sometimes the clients get much more than their original damages back with no commissions for the enterprise generally mentioned. Accept suspension of disbelief, have great fun watching.
