YIM HO KING, the boss of Rising Sun Insurance, is a very superstitious man. He requests all his male staff to go worshipping with him. On their way to the temple, insurance broker KWOK FU KEUNG is shocked to learn that a client of his, Mr. CHEUNG, is trying to commit suicide in order to claim on insurance. KEUNG rushes to the scene and manages to persuade Mr. CHEUNG into giving up his idea. The manager of another team, KAI FAN, persuades KEUNG to work for their competitor – Shing Sai Insurance. KEUNG’s younger brother, FU KAN, calls and tells him that he has killed someone. It turns out that it is only a misunderstanding. A good friend of KEUNG’s LIU YUEN HO is heavily in debt because of his immoral affairs in mainland China. He lies to his fiancee, KUK YEUK HEI, to treat her into helping him to make an insurance claim. HEI works in a bank. She knows quite a lot about insurance……

FAN has left behind many unsettled insurance plans. KEUNG therefore has to deal with his difficult clients. KEUNG tries to mediate between HO and HEI, hoping that by doing so HEI will leave the company. TSAU annoys his daughter, KEI, to the core by interfering with her personal life. She runs away from home and later meets KAN at a pub. KEI keeps talking and talking that KAN cannot stand her. A client of HEI’s, Mrs. TAM, has discovered that her husband has a woman outside. She wants to cut the insurance plan that she has bought her husband. HEI tries to persuade her into giving up the idea but to no avail. The pub that KAN invests in has been broken into. ANDY, another shareholder, deliberately breaks the lock of the door so as to claim on insurance. KEUNG has been embroiled in KAN’s case and is asked to take mandatory leave. Mrs. TAM’s husband has been diagnosed with cancer. She urges HEI to reactivate her husband’s insurance plan……

KEUNG’s father, SING, believes that his dog, TAI BO, has taken away his red whistle string. KAN finds the string. He suggests KEUNG give it to KING as a gift to please him. Luck has been with KING since KEUNG has given him the string. He puts KEUNG in an important position in the company. KING’s client Mr. LUI is dead. Both Mrs. LUI and the secret mistress of his, whose name is CHUI, come to Rising Sun to claim for compensation. KEUNG fails to prevent them from bumping into each other. The two women end up in a big fight. Mrs. LUI blames KEUNG for helping CHUI. In the midst of the chaos, HEI learns that KEUNG has once lent his yacht to HO. KAN is taking part in a finger-guessing contest organized by a pub. KEI goes to the pub to cheer him up. TSAU assigns her subordinates YEE and TSAT to take KEI home but KAN stops them. KEI confirms from this that KAN is her Mr. Right……

KAN has won the contest. TSAT comes to challenge him with 100,000 dollars. KAN loses. He is demanded to pay the debt in three days. KEI has a big quarrel with TSAU over this. SING runs into HEI on the street. While they are having a chat they see KING running after a thief. HEI has no choice but to tell SING that KEUNG has given KING the red whistle string. KING hurts himself when he is chasing the thief. The fortuneteller advises KING that “red” is unlucky to him. KING therefore returns the red whistle string to KEUNG. However, it is too late as SING has already known the truth. SING leaves home in anger. With the help of HEI, KEUNG and SING are finally reconciled with each other. KEUNG and HEI always quarrel with each other. In order to help improve their relationship, KING pairs them up at the Outward Bound Training Camp that they join. KEUNG and HEI encounter many difficulties at the training……

KEUNG and HEI are very embarrassed that everybody in the office is talking about their “affair”. SING has finally found BO. He takes an insurance plan for BO from HEI. KEUNG is displeased. TSAU believes that KAN will give up dating KEI because of the money he owes TSAU. She makes a bet with KEI on this. If KEI loses, she has to stop seeing KAN. KAN wants to accept TSAU’s deal but SING scolds him. KAN realizes then that SING doesn’t want him to fool around all the time. He decides to develop his career in the pub industry. He tries to borrow money from KEUNG but end up persuaded into joining KEUNG’s industry instead. KING asks all team leaders to develop new insurance products. KEUNG and HEI, coincidentally, have both come up with a “Love Insurance Plan”. The plan has received an overwhelming response from the market. KING is overjoyed. He announces at the celebration party that KEUNG and HEI are indeed lovers……

KEUNG and HEI have no choice but to pretend to be a pair. SING is excited to learn that KEUNG is going out with HEI. KAN is sitting for the entry exam for insurance brokers. He is kicked out of the examination hall because of KEI. Furious, KAN tells KEI that he doesn’t love her at all. KEI is heartbroken. She pours out her unhappiness at her father’s grave. There she bumps into her uncle, who comes to pay a visit to the grave of his deceased lover. The love story of her uncle occurs to her. And she believes that KAN will make a good man like her uncle. KING nearly knocks down an old woman on his way to a temple. KEI forces him take the woman to the hospital for a check-up. KING listens to her. He has avoided an accident because of this. He believes that KEI is his lucky star because of the incident. SING discloses that TOK’s injury is only a scam to claim on insurance……

SING is shocked to learn that KAN and KEI are dating. He rushes to TSAU’s restaurant to create a mess. KEUNG and HEI try to mediate between them but fail. The whole incident has been videotaped and uploaded to the Web. KEUNG and HEI try hard to patch up SING and TSAU. However, they end up quarreling with each other! An old associate of SING comes to take an insurance plan from KEUNG. KEUNG learns from him that TSAU’s husband, CHEONG, died in the Philippines years ago. He decides to go there to find out the truth. SING’s dog, BO, is missing again. He is very worried. He turns to HEI for help. HEI’s words inspire him and he finds Bo at last. Looking at the dog, he knows that its days are numbered. KEUNG returns form the Philippines. He has brought back the things that CHEONG has left behind to TSAU. BO has died. SING is very down. HEI consoles him. Both SING and TSAU are experiencing the bitterness of losing their beloved……

Uncle KANG has an accident in a construction site. Unfortunately, he cannot claim on the insurance as KAN has missed an important administration procedure when he was issuing the insurance contract. KEI is still angry with KAN. She acts against him all the time at work, making things even more difficult for him. KAN tries to argue with KING regarding the issue but to no avail. KEI witnesses everything. HEI goes to investigate the injury case of Mrs. MAK with her subordinate. Mrs. MAK claimed that she had fallen and hurt herself. However, what they find suggests that she has been beaten by her husband. HEI is shocked when her subordinate is trying to make a fake medical certificate for Mrs. MAK. Mrs. LAW, who is a widow, comes to Rising Sun to discuss her insurance plan with KEUNG. Everybody believes that KEUNG has got the deal by developing a special relationship with Mrs. LAW……

SING and KAN visit Uncle KANG at the hospital. They realize then that KEI has helped KANG in the claiming on the insurance. KAN decides to invite KEI to a dinner to thank her. However, when KAN realizes that, YUEN, a better-off colleague of his, is interested in KEI, he decides to give up. KEI is very angry about it. KUEN, who is also known as Mrs. MAK, is now working at Rising Sun. She has no time to accompany her son, CHI CHAI. KEUNG and HEI take CHI CHAI out and spend a wonderful day with him. TOK is slightly hurt by some fallen construction material. He wants to claim for compensation from the construction company for his psychological hurt. TSAU and the others believe that TOK is trying to get the insurance money by cheating. TOK meets MEI while he is working at a restaurant. TOK tells MEI about his injury and she decides to fight for him. SING objects MEI’s idea. He carries out an investigation……

MEI tells everybody that TOK is impotent and embarrasses him to the core. Mrs. LAW comes to the company to discuss insurance matters with KEUNG again. His colleagues gossip that he got the deal by some indecent means. Not wanting to admit in public that he is impotent, TOK decides not to claim compensation from the construction company. MEI is upset about it. HEI sees MEI having a fight with a man at the back of a pub. She steps in, and comes to learn that MEI has got a scar on her body because of a childhood injury. It is SING’s birthday. HEI, who has originally refused to attend the birthday party, shows up at the party. HEI tells SING about MEI’s unhappy childhood at the party. SING realizes only then that he has been ignoring his daughter’s feelings all the years. The father and daughter are reconciled with each other. Mrs. LAW expresses her love for KEUNG. KEUNG has no choice but to pretend that he and HEI are lovers. Mrs……

KEUNG and HEI see a mysterious man visiting Mrs. LAW. KEUNG is shocked to be told by Mrs. LAW that she decides to shift all her insurance plans to another company. Rising Sun’s competitor Shing Sai has also launched a “Love Insurance Plan”. In other to fight back, KEUNG and HEI host a radio program to promote theirs. KEUNG, HEI and WAN have received a wedding invitation from HO. WAN invites KEUNG to attend the wedding banquet with her. Thinking that the two have got back together, HEI is upset. WAN’s boyfriend, GEORGE, is an insurance broker at Shing Sai Insurance. After meeting with him, KEUNG suspects that GEORGE is cheating by selling insurance plans without a proper license. He carries out an investigation secretly. He discovers that Mrs. MAK is one of GEORGE’s targets. Seeing that KEUNG and HEI have fallen out because of GEORGE, SING asks TSAU to work with him to unmask GEORGE’s secret. KEUNG bumps into HEI on HO’s wedding……

KEUNG and HEI’s relationship is getting better and better. Their radio show has become very popular, too. MEI has met her ex-boyfriend, DONALD, who is also her mentor, again. She is shocked and surprised to learn that he is the representing lawyer of the construction company. MEI is not confident that she can win the case. TOK cheers her up with words. A tycoon in town, SMITH, asks KEUNG to prepare a Kidnap Insurance Plan that is worth 100 million dollars for his son STEVEN. KEUNG is meant to keep the plan strictly confidential. But KAN learns about it when he sees the relevant documents at home. Big Brother HUNG asks TSAU to stage a comeback in the underworld but to no avail. Their conversation is overheard by KEI. STEVEN has been kidnapped. KEUNG’s superiors suspect that it is KEUNG who has disclosed the insurance plan. As a punishment, KEUNG is suspended from his job for the time being……

In order to claim on the insurance, STEVEN works together with Big Brother HUNG in putting up a kidnap. Their plan, nevertheless, is spot by KAN and the others. STEVEN wants to bribe them, but Big Brother HUNG’s subordinates want to kill them instead. Fortunately, KEUNG arrives with the police. STEVEN and his gang are put under arrest. KAN misconceives that YUEN is two-timing. He questions YUEN, and is shocked to learn that KEI has been secretly in love with him. KIN, an old colleague of SING’s, has gone missing for a long time. His wife has waited for seven years before she can finally receive the insurance compensation. However, she is unhappy that her son is not behaving well. After a few attempts to stop KAN from chasing KEI, TSAU decides that she should respect KEI’s choice. With the help of MEI, the construction company finally agrees to fire DONALD and pay five million dollars to TOK as compensation. SING catches sight of KIN……

KIN’s wife is behaving rather strangely, making SING worry that KIN has been killed. Both KEUNG and KAN think that SING is thinking too much. SING wants to justify himself. So he carries out an investigation on his own. He falls down a hill during his investigation. He finds KIN’s dead body down there before he blacks out. Meanwhile, KIN’s wife and son have arrived to bury KIN’s dead body. They find SING lying unconsciously and so call the police. After investigation, the police confirm it was not KIN’s wife who killed her husband. They, nevertheless, will charge her with defrauding. A client of KEUNG and KAN’s force them to collaborate with him in making false insurance claim. They are given a serious beating for refusing to cooperate. Fortunately, the police arrive just in time. SING is happy to learn later that he was the reason why his two sons refused to team up with their client……

SING urges KEUNG and HEI to get married by calling in their radio program. KEUNG and HEI are very embarrassed that they have become the talk of the town. As promised, TOK gives two million dollars to MEI. He also suggests MEI go for a plastic surgery, hoping that she will regain her confidence. MEI refuses though. Everybody believes that TOK is fond of MEI because of this, and thinks that he does not deserve her. Brother CHIU, who is a film producer, takes his wife and son to the filming location to watch an explosion scene, despite the fact that his public liability insurance policy has already expired. An accident happens during the shooting. HEI risks her life to save CHIU’s son. KEUNG, believing that HEI has been seriously hurt, rushes to the scene to express his love for HEI. HEI is deeply touched, and agrees to marry him. Everybody at the company is overjoyed to hear the news. KING wants to throw a big wedding party for them……

Instead of feeling unhappy for HEI’s promotion, KEUNG gives his support to her whole-heartedly. In order to avoid anything that may bring aspersion, HEI assigns KUEN, who has the worst performance in the company, to KEUNG’s team. KAN has been making great effort to accommodate KEI, so much so that he has found that he has lost his true self. KUEN is fighting for the custody of her son with her ex-husband. Her performance has been adversely affected. She asks KEUNG not to disclose her family problems to the others. KEUNG tries his best to protect her. KEUNG and YAN KAI, a team member of his, are meeting with his client Mr. CHENG. KEUNG cannot make it at the last moment. KAI therefore has to meet Mr. CHENG at his hotel room on her own. KAI is molested by Mr. CHENG. HEI fires KAI for her violating the code of practice. KEUNG argues with HEI over this……

KEUNG takes KAN to play golf with a client. The client asks KAN to give it a try. By peer luck, KAN hits the ball into the hole at his first go. HEI blames KAN for making a rash attempt. KAN is upset. The dog of HEI’s client Mrs. SZE has been beaten to death by the dog of KEUNG’s client, Mrs. WU. Mrs. SZE flies into a rage and decides to sue Ms WU. KEUNG and SING have found a dog similar to Mrs SZE’s for her. She, however, kicks KEUNG away. SING gives KAN a good telling-off for fooling around in the name of talking business. HEI wants KAN to spend more time with KEI. She assigns them to join the golf club together and suggests KAN to look for new clients there. KEUNG gives Mrs. SZE another dog, which she accepts at last. HEI learns from Mrs. SZE that KEUNG has been trying hard to help her. She is touched. The couple is in good terms again.

KAN reveals his feelings to KEI when he is drunk. KEI realizes only then he has been having a hard time with her. She decides to split with him. KEI and YUEN pretend to be lovers and they manage to make KAN believe so. To make things at work easier for HEI, KEUNG decides to work for Shing Sai. SING is unhappy to see MEI going out with TOK. Pop singer ROBIN’s concert is not selling well. To cover it up, he stimulates illness and cancels the concert. What is more, he claims that he has fallen ill after dining at TSAU’s restaurant. SING wishes that TSAU will make a formal apology in public. He asks HEI to persuade her. Unwilling to do so, HEI resigns. FAN tells KEUNG that he cannot take him to Shing Sai. KEUNG does not know what to do. KEUNG talks with ROBIN’s manager, WILLIAM. WILLAIM agrees to put on the concert as scheduled. KING invites KEUNG to return to Rising Sun, offering him the title of Branch Manager……

KEUNG runs away from the wedding ceremony. Trying to mediate between the two, SING pretends to be ill but it doesn’t work. Both HEI and KEUNG have resigned. KING invites them to return, suggesting that the two have a fair competition and fight for the position of Branch Manager. KAN meets KEI and YUEN on the street. Filled with jealousy, he starts a car race with YUEN. His car crashes into a building, but he refuses to call the police. KEUNG goes on a boat cruise with his client Mr. YAU, who is the son of a very rich man. The boat runs against a rock. In order to claim on insurance, Mr. YAU requests KEUNG to cheat with him, putting KEUNG into a very awkward situation. SING pretends to be ill and is taken to hospital. To everyone’s surprise, he is diagnosed with cancer. KAN is demanded to pay 500 thousands dollars for damaging the wall of the building……

Seeing that his children are trapped in their relationships, SING wants to do something to help. Unfortunately, he makes things even worse. KEUNG blames him for minding their businesses and even throws away his beloved old chair. Depressed, SING runs away from home. KEUNG and his brother and sister did not know until their father has gone missing that he has cancer. KEUNG calls and tells HEI. HEI is ashamed of having misunderstood SING. MEI has looked everywhere for SING but he is still nowhere to be found. Feeling helpless, she thinks of TOK, whom she believes will be able to help. KAN tries hard to look for SING’s chair. He has called a few friends of his to give him a hand, but it turns out that KEI is the only one who shows up. KAN is deeply touched. The two are reconciled with each other. KEUNG and MEI have also found their true love because of SING’s missing. SING visits the grave of his deceased wife. TSAU finds him……
