The story-telling is good with flashbacks.The film is both funny and heartbreaking. You smile in a scene and get a soulcrushing revelation in the next.

Why cant he just put the girl in jail already???the Threats, she pra tically admuts what shes done everytime she speaks to luther. Not to mention, ig he does get a threat on his wife from her, why wouldn't he send backup towatch over her house?? Its getting ridiculous and those are just the small annoyances! Ughhjhh whats with the rave reviews?? I will drudge on but if it doesnt get better ill have to bury luther, like a serial killer

I would have missed alot if I've never came across this show - Luther. Most importantly I would have missed Alice Morgan, played by the very charming Ruth Wilson. I would just like to say that I am here because of Alice Morgan, not that I would like to take credit away from Idris Elba, he's great ! Its just that I'm blown away by the character of Alice.In fact, I'm so smittened of Alice's role that I think the writer and the producers of the show should give Alice's her own show!All in all, this show is highly recommended. The cast is superb. And the people who made this are great ! I'm looking forward for more seasons to come !The only reason I'm not giving this a rating of 10 is because for me, there is no such thing as perfect !

If you haven't seen it and you are looking for something riveting to watch get on Netflix and you will find the entire series.Only 2 faults 1, there isn't enough of of it, with only 15 episodes over 4 seasons.2, I really wish the BBC would show London as it actually is rather than the traditionally English London Hamlet it isn't.

I'm actually surprised that there are negative review about this TV series, which in my opinion is almost masterpiece, and definitely one of best TV series in its genre, delivering everything that should be delivered, not so familiar with Idris Elba, but his performance is a class for itself, it seems as he is not acting at all, just being what he is- an emotional but genial murder detective.
